we are not hikers but love to walk the path down to the falls area. It's quite a walk back up and well worth the site. You can also explore around rocks and around water too

Ellis River Falls is certainly worth the short hike. The trails are well marked and maintained. A nice, easy walk to a beautiful waterfall.

Started walking the wrong trail at first... So need to read all signs. Yet once we did falls were beautiful ... Yet a lot of steps to go down to see it all

Easily accessible and beautifully maintained. We just had a little extra time to spare so it was nice that it was just a short leisurely walk to see this amazing fall.

We did the hike to the falls, a really amazing sight to see. It is about a 1/3 mile walk from the parking to the bottom of the falls so it is an easy starter hike for kids. The path is well marked and each to follow. You do walk down a hill / steps a bit to get to... More

We were heading south from Mt. Washington Auto Road when we passed the sign for these falls. We turned around and paid the $3 honor system fee to park. The .3 mile walk (mostly downhill was worth the walk for a nice close view of the falls. We took our time walking back up stopping at the few key spots... More

Short walk to beautiful falls. worth the trip from anywhere in the white mtns. 10-15 walk rewards you with a beautiful water fall and a cool breeze. Its better than AC on a hot day . We saw a group of guys jumping from a large rock into a deep pool down stream from the falls . The view looking... More

This was one of our favorite falls that we went to. One warning...the Trip Advisor "Directions" are inaccurate and take you to "Jackson Falls"...these falls are in the state park and are a little hike to get to, but are totally worth it...did it in flip flops.

We just saw the falls today. The walk starts downhill as opposed to most falls you have to climb up to see. Don't miss this if you are coming down 16 . You could see it in a quick 15 minutes. We relaxed and spent about 45 minutes enjoying the view.

It is just a short walk from the parking area to see this fall, one of the easiest and best to view in the White Mountains.
