Breathaking views for a short, easy trip

breathtaking view of tiered falls. great for those less adventurous than visitors of Diana Baths. some rock jumping if you choose to take shortcuts, but not necessary.

During the summer, the small town of Jackson attracts hundreds of visitors to its swimming holes at Jackson Falls. Early run off in the spring-time offers impressive masses of water crashing over endless boulders and rock ledges. Although Jackson Falls lacks any magnificent drops, it does contain many cascades, slides, and plunges of differing sizes. When viewing Jackson Falls from... More

We visited Jackson Falls not quite knowing what to expect. We had already seen the amazing Flume Gorge at Franconia Notch State Park, so since not much can compete with that, we were prepared to be underwhelmed. While certainly not as awe inspiring as the Flume Gorge, Jackson Falls were surprisingly lovely. The rock formations and the fact that you... More

My wife and I always plan a day at the falls whenever we go to Jackson. We get a lunch at the deli and go there to relax and enjoy the spectacular views

Jackson Falls is very easy to access – but not as easy to find. This is because 16a goes to the right as Main St., although it looks like it goes up the road that becomes Black Mountain Road. The parking lot is to the right after you cross the bridge – across from the Wendworth. The falls have several... More

So scenic and uncrowded. Better than the national forest spots! It is right off the road so there is no walking involved. Right in the beautiful little village of Jackson NH.

A quick walk from the bridge, a nice jaunt before dinner. You can follow a sidewalk for most of the way. At the lower end there is a gazebo for a nice spot to catch up on some reading.

Short but beautiful walk in and around Jackson Falls. The walk up is steep but not too challenging. There are areas along the walk that you can step out onto the rocks and see some very pretty views of the town and the mountains. There was nothing to dislike as far as I'm concerned.

True,..it is an outdoor paradise. From the time you pass over the covered bridge until you're too tired to explore any more, no matter the season, there's always something to do....or nothing It depends on you. There are many organized events during the year.( Visit Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce.com) website. If you want be on your own, well hiking... More
