Jackson Falls is a must-see attraction at all times of year. There are multiple levels and heights of falls right at roadside, and the view to the west is just stunning. In Spring the waters are raging with unbelievable fury and in Winter it's hard to understand how ice can form on such rapidly moving water

These falls require little effort to reach as they are so close to the centre of Jackson and you can park next to them. Plenty of places you can get really close to the water to enable you to take really close up pictures. I got some great shots there. Plus higher up locations to look down n the water

As we were staying at The Carter Notch Inn, it was a short walk down to these picturesque falls. There is free parking close by and it is easy to get up close to the rocks. A walk to the falls is a perfect accompaniment to a visit to Jackson. Have a picnic and enjoy nature! Recommended.

Beautiful views and a real tranquil spot, our hotelier advised of a beaver dam just up from the bridge too but we didn't have time to check it out.

The falls are easily found and accessed about 300 yards up a side road from route 16a close to the centre of Jackson village. You can walk out onto the rocks at the top of the falls but unfortunately it didn't seem possible to easily access the bottom of the falls for better photo opportunities. There is no charge for... Don't just look at the falls from the car park...Fortune favours the brave. The rocks, though a bit slippy, are easy to traverse and an extra 3 or 400 feet can be made down the falls for spectacular views. Just watch your step!
