On our most recent trip to Jackson, we decided to try snowshoeing in Jackson. The Ellis River Trail that leads to an off-tracks snowshoe trail to the warming hut was wonderful. The trail wound through the woods, along the river to the warming hut, and continued onto different loops. We were out for about two hours on a gorgeous winter... More

The cross country skiing is excellent in large part due to the amazing work of the skilled grooming crew. The upper meadows of Woodchuck and Wildcat Valley offer memorable vistas and perfect tracks without too much climbing. Ellis River Trail is a great way to enjoy the slightly more hilly trek through the enchanting Ellis River Valley. Our one recommendation... More

We have been coming here now and then for over 30 years. First as a couple, then with the family and now as a senior couple. Jackson Village is still the magical place we remember. The jewel and the draw here in the winter is the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation. The trails are extensive, varied and suitable for all ages... More

We hadn't been to Jackson in years, but were glad we came back. The trails were wide and impeccably groomed, and featured mountain scenery that couldn't be beat. The conditions were safe enough on the blue trails for my aging knees. My one complaint is I felt there could have been more and clearer signage to mark the trails, especially... More

We chose to try XC skiing here for the first time during a weekend getaway in Conway. It was a reasonable distance from our lodging & the first time package they had was not pricey. $45 gets you a 2-hour group lesson, equipment rental & trail pass for the day. Connie was our instructor & did a great job. There... More

The people in the shop and rental area were so nice! We showed up with a group of 10 - some with equipment, some without. It was so great that we came back the next day and took a lesson! The conditions were awesome and the warming hut on the easy trail was perfect for stopping for lunch and a... More

They just open for the season, and what a great family place. Yes, they have miles of backcountry trails for the super-skiier, but the new Storyland Park is fun for little kids, and a great place to learn their turns. And what an amazing -picture perfect town - complete with a covered bridge entry way. Thom and the crew are... More

Very easy to rent skis and head out on well groomed cross country ski trails. A variety of terrain to challenge most, and you end up in the quaint village with good and very good restaurants when done, there went a great day or two! When can I get back

I grew up skiing in the area and Jackson village has always been a wonderful experience. With its covered bridges, sleigh rides and cozy restaurants Jackson its an idyllic winter town. Skiers will appreciate the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation because it offers a variety of trails that cater to all levels and abilities. Lately, I have preferred x-country skiing to... More
