If you're in the area already (the lake is close to Flume Gorge and Old Man of the Mountain Museum, and next to Cannon Mountain) this is a nice place to stop for a swim. There are changing rooms there (but they weren't the cleanest or best smelling). The beach isn't large, but when we went it also wasn't full.... More

We came here in August 2015 after hiking Bald Mountain and Artists Bluff just behind and above Echo Lake. It was a hot day and while the hike wasn't too difficult, we were hot and sweaty and very ready for a swim. We had passed Echo Lake numerous times from the highway (93) cutting through Franconia Notch State Park throughout... More

What a great beach- every view is breathtaking. Picnic tables all through park, boat rentals only $20 per hour, and the sand was plentiful. As a Floridian, it was great to experience a new beach with lush greenery and mountains around us.

This lake is gorgeous. Plenty of parking and there are no fees. Paved walkways lead to the lake and viewing area of where the Old Man of The Mountain used to be viewed. Worth the time.

We spent half a day at this beautiful lake. Perfect for us and our two young children. Large parking lot, a booth where you pay a fee of a few dollars a person and get a hand stamp and then a short walk down to the beach. Beach was very clean and there is a lifeguard. As a mountain fed... More

The boat rentals is completely worth it. $20 for an hour is great. It is absolutely gorgeous. I loved my experience here and definitely recommend it!

This lake is positively serene! It is so clear and the setting is picturesque. We went in the spring and practically had the place to ourselves.

Although it is early in the season and the beach was not officially open, it is a beautiful place. Due to the fact it was before the high season, it was a peaceful place to see. I am sure each season has it's merits.

Echo beach is a beautiful place to stop by and relax or take a swim at. The views of the mountains are nice and the area is nice and quiet.
