Great beach and excellent view of Cannon Mountain ski slopes and of Franconia Notch. Kids loved searching for crawfish in the stream.

We visited in July. Great area. Even on a hot day the water is very cold. Spring fed keeps it that way. Set in the White Mountains in Franconia Notch, this seems to be a good area to picnic by the water. Tables are nearby and a snack bar. It's worth a stop during your visit!

What a wonderful area this is and when I came upon Echo Lake Beach I was impressed. Clear, clean water and so refreshing. It is a very small and not crowded beach. I went off season so I am not sure how crowded it is in the middle of summer or the facilities as far as food and fees are... More

this was great. the lake is huge . this is only one of the beaches for lake access. really nice old town. benches to sit on and watch the lake. you could sit there for hours and watch the water and the birds. many families were there.

They seem to stop collecting parking fees after 5, which is great if you just want to watch the lake around sunset. It’s a stunning view, and worth the short drive off the highway.

Just a short distance from Conway this is a hidden gem. Take the walk around Echo Lake on either the trail or along the beach. Pretty flat and easy to navigate. Cathedral ledge and White Horse are right next to the Lake trail. We did this during the Fall colors and was a real beauty!

We where very excited about the location of Echo Lake. Mountain views everywhere. The parking lot which is rough, costs too much to park for what is eventually going to be an expensive and somewhat wasted day. We changed into our swimwear in the average bathouse. We wanted to rent a kayak or canoe to take around the lake. It... More

We stopped here after the Flume and had a good time. We mainly wanted to rent kayaks and paddle around the lake. Kayaks cost 20/hour which was pretty reasonable. Very peaceful paddling around the lake and not too many other boaters out there. You can easily paddle from one side to the other. The beach area was pretty nice with... More

We went to New Hamshire for the Long weekend. The weather was very hot on 4th and 5th July. Echo lake was a big relief in such a weather. The water was cool and the nearby Picnic Area on the Beach was just perfect. You can enjoy your lunch or evening snack on the Benches. You can also bring a... More

I met my first girlfriend here in 1953. You figure the memories. My Search and Rescue Team meets here every summer for our annual picnic and "hidden victim practice search". Bathe or canoe in Echo Lake and take photos of this very scenic setting cupped in the valley between Cannon Mountain and Mount Lafayette where many 19th century artists came... More
