A great place visit for the day, the views of the ledges and mountains are amazing!! The lake is beautiful, warm and clear, there is a large roped off area but you can also go outside the rope. The lake is not too huge and easy to swim or float across. There are many trails to walk through the woods... More

We visited North Conway during the hotest days of the summer. We went to Echo Lake State Park with the little grandchildren to spend the day and keep cool swimming. What a beautiful spot with Cathedral Ledge right in front of you! The beach goes all the way around the pond so there's plenty of room for everybody. The beach... More

We hit the echo lake after visiting cathedral ledge we then hiked around the lake before the refreshing plunge into its cool waters. Echo lake is a beautiful spring fed lake with fresh water fish. No idea if the fish are stocked or natural. Great place for families its $4 bucks per person. Live free or die!

This is arguably the most beautiful lake in New Hampshire. The beach is always clean and the water is always inviting. Be sure to rent a kayak for the day and tool around lake because the views are different from all sides. A must see.

The title above pretty much says it all. This is a great place for a dip on a hot summer day. The water is usually warm, and it's usually not very crowded.

How many opportunities are there to swim in the mountains - if you want to see both this is the place to be. This small lake is clean and family friendly but has limited time available for swimming. There are paddle boats and canoes available for rent. It is reasonably priced but small.

Just discovered this place today while in North Conway. I was confused at first by the name, which is the same as a lake at the base of Cannon Mtn in Franconia Notch... I am very familiar with that lake (and that side of the White Mtns in general), and don't know much about the Conway area or swimming spots... More

Echo lake is a beautiful, shallow, sandy bottom, warm (in summer) lake with a wide beach, ideal for safe, fun water play for children. There is a roped off swimming area with lifeguard, and shaded picnic tables just above the beach. The restrooms and changing rooms are clean, and there are hoses to rinse feet. The lake is large enough... More

The lake is not very big but it's perfect for small kids and the views of Cathedral Ledge are very nice. There is sand beaches and shallow swimming areas. There are some picnic tables but mostly you need to bring whatever you need with you (and take it back). Short walk from parking lot and a modest $4 per person... More
