The lake is not very big but it's perfect for small kids and the views of Cathedral Ledge are very nice. There is sand beaches and shallow swimming areas. There are some picnic tables but mostly you need to bring whatever you need with you (and take it back). Short walk from parking lot and a modest $4 per person... More

We spent a day at the lake in July. The kids loved swimming. Lots of shade and sun. Depending your preference. We brought a B B Q and enjoyed a lunch and made a day at the lake. Bring chairs, lunch, water and a tube for the lake, and you'll have a recipe for the perfect day.

We really liked swimming here at Echo Lake State Park. The sandy beach was very clean. The lifeguards seemed to be very attentive. The bathhouses were also very clean. We loved that you could swim while watching rock climbers climb the nearby Cathedral Ledge. Also, it was great to be able to go free of charge from 7 pm to... More

This place should be called Echo Pond. A pond is exactly what it is!!! Very disappointed That New Hampshire would falsely call this a lake.

Beautiful scenery around tranquil lake overlooked by high ledges. Trails could have been better marked. $4 per person fee was reasonable. Swimming available.

Echo lake was a lovely place to visit. We went on a beautiful day and it was so nice to sit and chill by the lake. It is $4 each to get access which is not a lot and worth it I guess to keep it looking the way it does. And it actually does echo!!

We drove to the summit of the park and walked around. (There are trails you can hike from the park entrance...they are steep and beyond our skill level.) The views are just gorgeous. There is some fencing at first but be aware of your children. There are lots of areas that have no fences and there is definite danger. You... More

Woke up to 5 inches of fresh fallen snow. Took a ride to Echo Lake. There is nothing like walking on pure, fresh , fallen snow. Needless to say the walk was as magnificent as was the lake. There was no one there but us. It was truly beautiful and serene. To our surprise, it really does echo! My husband... More
