Beautiful view

Seems like it would be a really nice place to swim in the summer. However it was frozen over and covered in snow but it was still a beautiful view.

Looking for a relaxing afternoon on a beach, Echo Lake is the perfect answer. A beautiful sand beach with crystal clear water and views of Cannon and Mt. Lafayette, a nice snack shack, paddle boats and canoes to rent, and a shaded picnic area with grills. There is a lifeguard on duty during the day and a very small admission... More

Definately worth the trip. Nice pleasant walk and view. It's possible to walk around the lake and to see the ledge

Lovely lake with showers and toilets for summer swimming. Not much of that in evidence in October though! We had a nice walk around the lake, followed by a short hike up to Cathedral Ledge then back down via the auto road. Good views from the ledge (not at all precarious, despite the name). I imagine this place is a... More

At the recommendation of my physical therapist we went to take a walk around echo lake because she said it's an easy walk after recovering from knee surgery. She was right. It was beautiful with lots of pine needle paths to walk on. We just went to walk but there are picnic areas and grills also. The lake is pretty... More

A beautiful place to stop for a picnic lunch or a cool swim. It costs $4 per person and well worth it. There are plenty of picnic tables, a sandy beach and a beautiful view.

I visited Echo lake in the beginning of August of 2013 while camping near there. I really like this lake and the views is a plus!

This is a great place to swim, have a picnic and do some hiking. It is definitely family friendly and well used in the summer months. We have snow shoed as well during the winter and since it's fairly level good for all levels. During the summer there are rangers at the entrance requesting payment but I'm not sure how... More

The main attraction is a smallish lake that is a good place to swim. Also there is a trail around the lake that is a nice little walk...good for small children.
