When we parked our car, I was kinda disappointed at its small size. But I was impressed as I walked toward the lake. The view is so beautiful. I went there at the peak of foliage. The quiet reflections of mountains covered with colorful leaves and themselves really attracted my eye. This place has great energy and what I only... More

I recommend leaving your family/girlfriend/boyfriend/friends at the hotel and come here alone for awhile and reflect on your life. This place has great energy and you'll feel better about yourself. Offseason or when its closed during the summer when there's no one around. You'll see what I mean. Thank me later!

I visited Echo Lake on what was apparently the hottest day of the summer, Sept. 4, and it was perfect--a great escape without noise or distractions, just pretty water, a lovely beach, plenty of picnic tables, walking trails and a towering mountain in the background. Because I was staying in the area (Locust Lane), I decided to ride my bike... More

My hubby just had his ankle reconstructed so we can't do many of the outdoor activities that are available in the White Mountains due to his mobility issues. The perfect solution to this was a picnic on Echo Lake. Well worth the $8 we paid. It's really not a lake, it's more like a pond, but it's a very nice... More

This is a small lake and park right in North Conway. Never crowded when we're there. I recommend driving up to the ledges for a fantastic view!!! You can do a quick tour in an hour or less, I highly recommend seeing Echo lake if you're in the area

For $20.00 per hour we rented two single kayaks. The lake is very pretty....right at the foot of Cannon Mt. The staff should empty the kayaks of water, assist in finding safety vests and assist in shoving the boats out. We sat in puddles of water...the boats were not doable for us to empty. The staff here was uninterested in... More

We parked in the large parking lot, walked down the slope to the beach and water. Our family had several hours of enjoyment at the lake. I didn't go in the water, but the 10 year old and her uncle did. From their reactions, the water was colder than expected. Areas are roped off for swimming and it wasn't very... More

We love this place. It's so beautiful and swimming in the lake with that amazing back drop is awesome. It does get busy on weekends especially but if you get there for 10am it's often deserted. The sandy beach is perfect for smaller children and there's plenty of shade.
