Both of our trips have been full of snow! We could only go half way up but it was well worth our trip. The guide was fantastic and full of facts and humor. It was a most beautiful ride.

We were fortunate with the weather and went on a clear day, the views are fantastic. We had hoped to drive up as the train is a bit expensive but the road is closed from about mid october to may. When we got up there we saw why the road was closed, it was VERY slippery and extremely cold BUT... More

It was nice to experience the ride to the top of Mount Washington and hear the stories as we went up. Unfortunately it was cloudy, so there was no view at the top. It's a nice trip, but expensive

Mt. Washington cog railway trip in September 2012 was memorable. Ours was a clear day. We caught the last train of the day, which provided a discount beyond the senior discount. While waiting to board, we walked around the base station and enjoyed the steam engine exhibit. Our train left on time and traveled on time to the summit. Guide... More

Expensive but well worth the trip. The observatory and museum is very interesting. It snowed on top of the mountain and was a thrill to see this iconic weather location and observatory.

We didn't get to ride the train - we drove up to the station and thought about it but 62$ / person seemed not worth the ride. I wonder: this attraction caters to families. That means a family with 2 kids would have to pay over 200$ for a little train ride ? This is ridiculous.

A brilliant sunny morning, an early start, and snow on Mt Washington made for a great experience. We wanted steam, so had booked on the 0830 departure, the only one where steam is a certainty. On arrival, we found that weather conditions prevented us from goung more than 75% of the way, which was a shame but no-one's fault. A... More

As previous reviews have stated, it is a bit pricey, but to me totally worth the money. We took the railroad up on Sat, the weather at the base was 60 degrees and about 2/3 of the way up the railway we hit clouds, visibility was low. I'm glad we3 weren't driving the auto road. When we got to the... More

This is one of the the few attractions open in the White Mountains this time of year. Cog Railway looks more frightening than it really is. One hour trip up the West side of Mt. Washington. Breathtaking panoramas, especially as you climb above the treeline. We had perfect weather. Could see five states and all the way to the Atlantic... More
