For $10 you get a fun two man band and decent priced drinks inside along with a great view along the lake for about 2 to 3 hours. If you go late Winter you can see the sun set on that cruise.

Loved the 3 hour cruise around the lake and to Emerald Bay. The paddlewheel has a dining room and small gift shop onboard.

When we were at the Lake Tahoe visitor center we learned about a special on the M.S. Dixie II paddleboat. On Wednesdays they were offering a $10 fare for a tour of Lake Tahoe from the boat. It was supposed to be a tour of Emerald Cove but because of the drought the boat was not able to go into... More

This was a really nice excursion when you are in Lake Tahoe area. It was nice to get out of the casinos and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Easy 10 minute drive from the casinos. There is a lot of history in this area and it was interesting to hear some of it on this tour. The paddle... More

This is a must do while in South Tahoe. The scenery was breath taking and the ship was well equipped. We ate lunch onboard. It was probably the best club sandwich I have ever tasted. They had a full bar onboard as well. The trip was narrated very well and it taught us a lot about the lake and everyhting... More

We had a scary trip on this ship on Friday Feb 7/2014. First we boarded at 5.30 pm and thought when we got to the ship that we would not be sailing but would be staying at the dock to party and have dinner. However the captain decided to go out any anyway even though the other cruise boats where... More

We came upon this boat on our way back from Nevada City..the sun had just set and we could see people getting on the boat... We decided to investigate..We were just in time for the weekly Pints and Paddles ride!!!! Small admission boat ride cost, free drink pass , great live music and ride out on Lake Tahoe with tons... We enjoyed our two hour+ paddle boat cruise to Emerald Bay, around the the castle island and back; the fresh snow made everything beautiful, while well viewed from the heated lounge & bar.

Spent the early afternoon with some friends exploring Lake Tahoe not he MS Dixie II. It is not an "exhilarating" excursion by any means, but was definitely a unique way to see some of the lake and to hear about the history and ecology of the lake. We definitely had to escape into the cabin, and by cabin I mean... More

Sadly January proved to have little snow in Tahoe so we went on the boat tour of the south end of the lake and it was beautiful. The history as told on the ship was interesting and we were able to just hang out on the dek in the sun and look at the views while hearing a little about... More
