We loved the natural beauty of the surrounding environment of the lake and it was great to travel to Emerald Bay and see the Norwegian inspired 'castle' ( large house). The colours of the lake were also beautiful from sandy green through teal to the most dramatic Prussian blue. Unfortunately the boat was very crowded and departure was delayed as... More

We were really psyched about this cruise until we found out (at the drinks stand ON the ship) that we were on the wrong boat. We were supposed to ride the M.S Dixie ll, which had a kitchen. Instead, we were on The Queen, which didn't! They had to switch our boat at the last minute. The company didn't tell... More

I am disappointed I can't tell you how the cruise was because I never made it on the boat. I booked my reservation for the same day and made a two mile walk down to Harvey's to pickup the free shuttle to Zephyr Cove. Being OCD I arrived at the transportation center a half an hour early and waiting at... More

We had a very delicious dinner and a terrific lake cruise with family. The food was wonderful, and the scenery on the lake was beautiful as the boat traveled across the lake at sunset. We enjoyed the cruise as the captain did not interrupt our conversations very often, except to point out an important landmark or historical point about a... More

Went on a dinner cruise. The steak was good. Dinner was a little rushed. Some people were still eating their main course when the dessert was served. Hard to understand the narration due to all the people talking.. The band after dinner was very good. The scenery was beautiful. We booked our cruise through vacations made easy. It was a... More

We debated going on a dinner cruise with a 10 yr old. I am SO glad we did. It is pricey and we were not sure he would enjoy it but we had a fabulous time! I had read reviews that you cannot see the lake because it was dark. However, in the summer time that is not the issue.... More

So I'm mixed about this experience. The food was good, the people we met were fun, the cruise after dinner was good, however the service was horrendous. After the cruise we found out that they had just started running the cruise again after time off for repairs. We had a server approach us twice with a bill for our drinks... More

My family and I enjoyed our recent dinner cruise on Lake Tahoe aboard the M.S. Dixie II. We got to see the captain's control room and ask him how to drive the ship. He even let my kids take turns at the wheel and let us take a pic of them with a captain's hat. We also enjoyed the live... More

This was a terrific way to get an idea of how immense Lake Tahoe is. We went on a rainy day so stayed pretty much inside. There was a snack bar, full liquor bar, gift shop and a nice lounge and dining room. The captain took us on a nice tour of Emerald Bay with history of Vikingshom and its... More

Average day time 2.5 hr cruise from zephyr cove across the lake to emerald bay. Cost was ok at $49. Lunch not include could purchase for $15. I was expecting more of a cruise along the coast line plus the emerald bay visit. We entered the bay and circled around the bay which is difficult to get to from the... More
