We were able to sit outside during the cruise since it was such a beautiful day. The cruise is beautiful and informative.

We brought sweatshirts but ended up not needed them, although others did, so bring one just in case. The recording that plays thoughout... More

This is a great ride on the lake, the boat is a smooth ride, everyone is helpful and friendly the views are breath taking and they tell you the history of the lake. You can take great pictures of the surrounding area. They offer food and drinks.

Took the afternoon lake ride from Zypher Cove across Lake Tahoe to Emerald Bay. Was a fun ride, just be sure to bring a sweater or wind breaker as the wind picks up unexpectedly & is of course cold. We purchased our tickets through Living Social, but when we called the staff was very good about explaining where to go... More

Took a dinner cruise on April 27. Food was good but service was felt a little unorganized. It would have been nice to hear some of the history but the narration was very hard to hear.

For our anniversary we visited Lake Tahoe, the sight of our honeymoon 26 years earlier. I was able to get discounted tickets for the M.S. Dixie Emerald Bay cruise through LivingSocial and it was a great trip. We had sailed aboard their sister ship, the Tahoe Queen, on our anniversary. The cruise company offers free pick-up and return at the... More

You can take this cruise and really like it or if could feel like the longest 2.5 hrs of your life. I took option number 2. It was an out dated boat with expensive food. I couldn't hear any of the history about what I was l looking at because the speaker we not loud enough. The only sight worth... More

We went on the MS Dixie recently. It was our first trip to Tahoe and thought it would give us perspective on the lake as well as a different view than we would get hiking. Overall, we had a good experience BUT largely because it was mid week in the off season. The boat was probably at about 1/3-1/2 of... More

This was our 2nd time taking this scenic boating tour across Lake Tahoe. This time we found a discounted deal on Living Social. The views are simply amazing. The staff was very friendly. They even serve meals in an indoor dining area. Go early to get a good seat. Bring sunscreen, a jacket, hat, your camera and even, binoculars. The... More

The MS Dixie II from Zephyrcove was a nice way to get a general overview of the enormous lake Tahoe, it's geological beginnings & history. The Tahoe cruise also offers snacks & beverages inside warm interiors to shield from the frosty winds off the lake. The only real disappointment was that the overview was a piped in recording that was... More
