We went on the sunset dinner cruise (3 hrs) as a family of three and had a wonderful time! The band which played for most of the tour, was awesome, the staff was very friendly and helpful,, the cruise was beautiful. The dinner was good, but we ordered well done steaks and they were all pink inside (not sure how... More

This was a very neat experience for the whole family. I was nervous r having two kids under 3 with us since it seemed ole something more for my grandparents. But everyone loved it and the kids had a blast too!

A bit pricey at $83 plus $8 parking but we'll worth the price. Dinner was delicious! Get there at least 45 minutes before the 6pm departure. There is free champaign and a live band. Dress is nice casual. Bring a jacket if you tend to get cool on the water at night.

If you liked looking at Lake Tahoe or Emerald Bay by land you will love it by boat. A two hour tour for around $50. Emerald Bay is just gorgeous. The lake is really clear and chilly. Fed by mountain streams, the narratation is good with the history of the lake and how it was formed. Food and drink is... More

A little overpriced! Used AAA discount to about $77 per person. After tip and a few drinks it is an easy $100 per person. Went to see great sunset but it was only mediocre...not their fault. Great views of Emerald Bay and the band onboard was very good and lots of fun. I don't rate it higher mainly due to... More

Went with the hubby to explore Lake Tahoe from the water! We were welcomed on to the MS Dixie II by Capt Zach and crew. They were friendly and professional. Seated right away in the dining area- get ready to share your table with strangers! The tight squeeze ensured we made fast friends with our table mates! I felt a... More

Boarding process could use some organizing. Boat ride was nice but the outdoor seating was limited, so we stood most of the time. When it was time to get off the boat they had to move everyone that gathered by the exit. Need better communication/instructions for the passengers. I couldn't believe there was a smoking section. Really???

The MS Dixie offers a daytime cruise from Zepher cove to Emerald Bay. You can order drinks from the bar and snacks. There is a bottom deck for the faint of heart, the top deck is great with great opportunity of take great pictures. The MS Dixie also offers a dinner/Sunset Cruise with gourmet dinner.

We've been on the cruise many times. It is now our go to place to take visitors to the area...they love it. Fortunately, most of our visitors don't come in the VERY busy summer months, so we have a nice (not too crowded) relaxing time.

We sailed on the MS Dixie on July 28. Weather was perfect and the boat was full. Bring your sunglasses. We walked to different parts of the boat during the cruise for different perspectives. Beautiful scenery all around. We even saw a baby eagle in a tree. The tour was partially narrated. Bathrooms are available. Food and drink are available.... More
