As most have described, the Safari Rose evening 2 hr. cruse was a mellow ride with almost no one on board. It was however a very low class event . The boat was not well kept and the food served was not good. For example, the salsa was fermented the chips stale and the guacamole was cheep Costco stuff. When... More

We enjoyed the lake cruise on the Safari Rose. The cruise logistics were well communicated. The crew was pleasant and attentive. The lunch was served buffet style and was really very good. Not just a typical turkey sandwich, but grilled chicken and steak kabobs, rice, salad and fruit. Alcoholic drinks are extra of course, and a full bar is available... More

We boarded the Woodwind II catamaran and were pleasantly surprised how relaxing the cruise was. Vessel departed and returned to the dock on time. It was a very slow, relaxing cruise from the dock to a small circle in the middle of the lake and back. The sailboat is comfortable and clean. You can sit on actual round dog beds... More

We were a group of 30, ranging from grandparents to grandchildren, ages 7 to 75. This cruise offered an excellent opportunity to spend time together on the lake. By the time we had all gathered on the pier at Zephyr Cove there were others in line ahead of us. We feared that the catamaran would be crowded and there would... More

Worth every penny. This was a 4 hour excursion that is narrated along the way. The boat is a beautiful 1950's yacht (with a story of its own) that is well kept up inside and out. Plenty of seating inside and out. There were only 25 people this day and it was wonderful. Lunch was served and it was great.... More

A beautiful and leisurely cruise on a gorgeous and well maintained 1950's boat. Four hour cruise along the west side of Lake Tahoe and into Emerald Bay. Delicious BBQ lunch. I would definitely take this trip again. www.tahoecruises.com check them out!

I must admit, we were on vacation just prior to Memorial day, which is the tail end of the 'Off Season'. Because of the time frame, there were only about 10 guests on board which made for a very relaxing cruise, plus, we got to meet and chat with the others on board. The crew was great , the lunch... This is a relaxing 4 hour site-seeing cruise down the west side of the lake, with narration. They take you inside Emerald Bay and you can see Vikingsholm from the water. It is a beautiful and comfortable boat inside and out. (not a sail boat). We had a delicious hot grilled lunch. Drinks are available for $$. If you check-in... More

We have taken this boat ride several times over the years and each time it is a slow mellow cruise to the middle of the lake and back. There is rarely enough wind on the lake to actually sail, so they end up slow motoring most of the way. If you want a mellow time on the lake its fine,... More

The afternoon cruise on the Woodwind was wonderful. The crew was awesome and took wonderful care of us -- especially the bartender! Lounging on the deck with a great drink, the warm sun and gentle breezes you could almost imagine you were sailing off a tropical island -- except for the majestic mountains surrounding you in every direction. Can't recommend... More
