My wife and I enjoyed the restaurant, and would have enjoyed the casino had it not been so smoky. Had I not had health issues it would be a really nice place to gamble and hang out.

too bad we found this gem on the way out of town. When we come back to Reno it will be our first stop.

Beat buffet in Reno/Sparks for the price. Good salad bar and fried chicken is delicious. As with most slots, it is up and down, but on the whole they pay out according to what is put in them. Nice, friendly atmosphere.

I've been dropping by this place for decades when visiting the Reno/Sparks area, even from back in the days when it was the Plantation Casino. If you're looking for a glamorous, glitzy mega-casino environment, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a fun place to play or hang out, where people seem to be enjoying... More

Was meeting a friend for lunch and both decided to try Rail City 's brew house. What a find. It was great. Food good, friendly and great value. The Ale house is the best in the area. The casino atmosphere is electric. Lots of folks just having a good time. Will start to use this place as my casino. The... More

From first appearance when driving up, the casino looked small, but once inside it wasn't so small. The floor plan was spacious & clean. Tons of parking outside. Played the slots and came out way ahead of what I started out with. That was nice as I always break even and that's not much fun after awhile. The Cafe` buffet... More

The good part about Rail City are the drink and food specials. My favorite happens to be WING WEDNESDAY...50 cent wings! They are also very close to downtown sparks, so its a good start or end spot for special events. The down side is it STILL is a smokey casino...so if you are a non smoker or have problems breathing,... More

The Rail City Casino is like many of the smaller local gaming sites. Locals are the thrust of the advertising and deals. The Ale House has excellent food and drink - very friendly. I gave up eating at the City Cafe because the food was "D" or "C" quality. Overall you can have fun at this locals staple.

Please be warned about this casino in Sparks. It sits in a rough looking area and the folks inside look about the same., The main reason I'm writing this negative review is to warn everyone that the Blackjack dealers may not be giving you their most honest shuffles. It's not the dealing ,it's their shuffling. It's about as close to... More
