The Reno Ari Races are a one of kind event. There is some of the best pilots in the world racing at up to 500 MPH. The super sport class is great with these very small planes racing around at 400 MPH. The weekends can be very crowded but it is worth it.

I went to my first reno air races, in the early 1970's when i was at UNR. back in those days we would just go out and park just past the first pylon! it was just too much fun. I still love watching those P51's go by.

What I like about these airshows is the thrill it gives me to see these fantastic birds show off there skills. I get so excited tears come to my eyes, just like when you go to a horse race and your horse is in the lead. Being an old pilot myself it fills my memories of my past experiences of... More

For any aviation buff and pilot out there, this is a mecca of all things aviation. Air shows, exhibitions, and exhilarating races fill a jam packed schedule of events every year in September. Great food and vendors on site. Be sure to get a pit pass to visit vendors, look at the race planes in person, and see what's new... More

If you love airplanes, or a fan of anything aviation or of WWII, this is the place to go, and even if you aren't, you need to go! Every September, you get to see WWII aircraft flying 50 feet off the ground, around an "air race course". Not just 1 plane, but up to 5 or more, wing tip to... More

As a pilot, the Reno Air Races are a good spectator sport. Plus, the airport does a really good job of handing all the additional fly-in traffic.

I have been to the Air Races many times and never once was I disappointed. they been doing this for a lot of years so they have it down right. everyone treats you nice and plenty to drink and eat. the Races themselves are outstanding going to the edge. a small tip is to me it doesn't matter were you... The show is great if you want to see daring pilots doing incredible acrobatics in the air. I really enjoyed the show and will come back this year'a version of it.

There is absolutely nothing like the sight and sounds of souped up WW2 airplanes screaming passed you at 500mph! This is truly an experience!
