Wow! I really enjoyed the Reno Air Races! If you like airplanes, this is the event for you. Held in September at Reno Stead Airport in the North Valleys of Reno, several different classes of planes race within a perimeter in the sky. I highly recommend that you spend the extra and buy a pit pass. With the pit pass... More

We have attended the National Championship Air Races for many years. Each year the organization, displays and atmosphere improves. Baring occasional tragic events, the Event is a spectacle for all air enthusiasts. Going on Friday gets you the full experience without the crowds.

This event is so much more than simply an "air race" and includes static displays of historic and military aircraft, aircraft flight demos and much more. And, for an extra charge, you can visit the "pits" where even more aircraft are on display. Coming early in the week to avoid the crowds and pay lower ticket prices.

Very exciting to be so close to such powerful flying machines. Several days of racing, so you can go for qualifying and return for the finals. It gets hot out here, and most seats are not shaded. Wear light clothing, and wear a hat and sunscreen. Remember to hydrate. I highly recommend the Reno Air Races!

I was able to visit my first air race in Reno this year. My husband and I loved it. We were able to enjoy the vendors with goods & food. We were also able to see the planes up close. It was a fantastic experience.

This event was made for the airplane enthusiast. Seeing such a a great aerobatic display of airplanes was the highlight of my trip. I will go back every year. Absolutely loved the races.

The Reno Air Races are one of those rare events in which the spectator is treated fairly with access to everything at inexpensive prices. Be sure to buy a pit pass for up close looks. Shuttles running from the casinos and downtown eliminate all the parking and traffic problems and are well worth it!
