I have been to the Reno Air Races several times. I always enjoy the thrill of seeing the planes fly over and especially seeing the old planes along with the latest jets. There is plenty of food and drink for everyone and the exhibitors are fantastic! I expect to continue going for the next few years.

This has been on my bucket list for a long time, finally made it! Good organization, great races, lots of food, drinks and vendors. So happy I finally made it!

We visited on the first day as my husband has always wanted to go to the Air Races. Everyone was very friendly and laid back and we spent a very enjoyable day looking at all sorts of planes etc before seeing some exciting racing and displays by stunt pilots. Although it wasn't busy because it was the first day, we... More

Frankly, air races themselves bore me a bit. The idea of watching a bunch of crazies expose themselves and a huge crowd to death just isn't very excited. However, I grew up living on and around Air Force bases during the mid-1940's through the early 1960's where I was around airplanes all my early life and went to several air... More

My husband and I have visited Reno for the air races for over 15 years. We are always glad to see the variety of displays in the pits and the actual races. This year, however, we were disappointed with the disproportionate share of commercial plane displays vs. the racing planes. This seems to be the trend, and a bit too... More

Lack of participants & vendors. We have been previous box holders. Decided to go this year and get the buzz of aviation. Crowds were very thin this year. I hope next year turns out better for them.

Just went to the Reno Air Races (Sept 2014). I have known about the races for many decades and finally said I can't wait any longer and went. Wow! Breathtaking, Incredible, Stunning, and More. To see planes racing head to head at over 490 miles per hour, separated by a nose or less is a big WOW! To see the... More

We have been going to the races for several years now and never seem to get enough of the roar of the engines. RARA does a outstanding job putting on this event. If you are an aviation or racing enthusiast this is a event you don't want to miss.

Started at 1964, held every September just north of Reno, the National Championship Air Races named one of the 10 best air show in the world. For one week, the high desert north of Reno becomes home to hundreds of aircraft, their pilots and crews coming from different countries. Six different race plane classes battle just 60 feet from the... More

We go pretty much every year - my dad is a hobby pilot and loves going so we always join. It's a lot of fun, though extremely hot with no shade and you're on asphalt or super uncomfortable bleachers. There's not a ton of fun things to look at or do other than watch the show, but they generally have... More
