Too bad it is becoming too expensive for the elderly and parking/access is very difficult for the handicapped. I remember many years ago when I was younger when my friends & I would actually fly to Reno, just for the races.... that was fun then!

My husband and I are both huge aviation enthusiasts. He is a pilot that comes from a family of a pilots and I went to school for air traffic control that also came from a family of pilots. We are both insanely passionate about the air racing community and we finally had a chance to come to the races and... More

The air races in Reno are an opportunity that simply isn't available anywhere else in the world. To see the planes, the pilots and all the exhibits is truly breathtaking. This event is totally professional and to top things off a lot of charities benefit from the hard work of the paid staff and the hundreds of volunteers who work... More

If you love flying and you enjoy watching the best of the best in the air, then you will appreciate the Reno Air Races. Lots of show, lots of fun, and lots of cameraderie. If you don't like airplanes, speed and sound, don't go!

I am married to a pilot. I love flying as a means of transportation. I attended the Reno Air Races as an anniversary gift to my husband. It turned out to be a VERY expensive weekend—also very exhausting, lots of walking, so much to see.

This is not your ordinary Air Show; this is Air Racing at its best. You get to see all of the planes and events that you would see in an ordinary air show with the added bonuses of watching vintage planes racing through the pylons. It is truly amazing and something that you have to watch up close and personal.... More

If you ever wanted to just look up and watch when you hear a plane fly overhead, you are a candidate for this spectacular and unique spectacle. Once a year and only in one place on this Earth; this business of flying around the race course pylons as fast as it will go, happens right there in front of the... More

Hubby is a pilot, loves all aviation. We have been going for 10 years now. At first I resisted cuz I thought I'd really rather be vacationing on a beach. But now I enjoy it as much as he does. Always learn more about the history of sport and military aviation. Acrobatic pilots are the best. Be sure to spend... More

- Well organized, fun and exciting. - Great races and awesome stunt shows. - Five classes of racers and speeds exceeding 500mph, featuring planes such as Strega and Voodoo. The beautiful sounds coming from the 3800hp Merlin engines and the deep roar of the T-6's kept you looking to the sky, even when you are grabbing a snack from the... More
