It is a nice place to walk your dog or go for an evening walk. The track is not very clean since they have a lot of ducks and seagulls around. Huge presence of seagulls gives a feel of a beach. If I have an option I would go to Sparks Marina instead. Good place overall for an hour walk... More

This is one of Reno's eyesores. It needs serious attention. The dog park is disgusting. It could be a really cute park if they cleaned it up.

I like it! there are alot of people out walking, it is very warm in Reno and there is alot of diffrent birds here not just ducks. People keep there dogs on leashes, and there are picnic tables.

I love that Virginia Lake is smack dab in the middle of Reno! I enjoy walking the 1 mile loop 3 times. I love the several species of water fowl as well as the resident swan.

Outdoor parks and recreation are not the strong suit of a town that wants to keep you inside their casinos; and Virginia Lake Park is not going to draw many tourists from the casino floors. A dirty lake surrounded with dead vegetation and a fair number of homeless. Not much city pride here.

It's a great place in the middle of a closein Reno neighborhood--convenient, plenty of parking, lots of birds, a fishing pier, play equipment, a covered eating area, flowers in season. You can bring your leashed dogand strollers for the 1 mile loop around the lake. You can bike around the perimeter.

I love seeing all the various migrating birds at the lake. Unfortunately, the drought has caused avian botulism and many have died as fresh water couldn't supply enough to stem the disease. Very sad.

We do go to this park quite often as I enjoy the walking trail all around the park. It is a decent walk for me and my dogs at about a mile or so, with playgrounds and benches to stop along the way. There is an island in the middle of the lake and lots and lots of birds so... More

For visitors, this park is not easy to see but easy to find. It is near the Peppermill Casino. It's a great place to walk. It is 1 mile around Virginia Lake, so it is perfect for walking. Their are ducks, geese, and a swan in the lake. The setting is tranquil, and there is a great place for children... More

I have been visiting Virginia Lake Park for the past 67 years. I have not lived in NV for 50 years, so it always a trip back in time for me. Love it. The island is picturesque. The waterfowl are always welcome. Love going there.
