This is a small man-made lake, easy to walk around and very pet friendly. It has containers to drop off your dog's gifts to nature all around the lake. Also has an unbelievable number of ducks, geese and seagulls which have become quite used to humans and many like to be hand-fed.

This place is a good place to get your mile walk in, to relax, to bring the kids so they can play and feed the geese (although your not supposed to...). This is a neat place nestled in a quiet neighborhood.

What a nice gem to find in the middle of a neighborhood to escape and spend time outside while on travel. Just a short walk from the Peppermill and one can enjoy nature and quiet by walking around the Virginia Lake.

If you don't like ducks or geese...don't go. This is where they go to rest before the big trip to...Where Do They Go, anyway? A beautiful, quiet, lake in the heart of Reno. Great for a quick jog or yoga or just walking...

Great place to take a run or a walk around. The thing I like best about the lake is that it attracts TONS of waterbirds ... any given day I'd see lots of ducks, grebes, coots, mergansers, black crowned night heron, you name it! I've often seen people there with binoculars come from far and wide to check them out.... More

We take our dogs here several times a month. It's close to mile around the lake with a well taken care of path. My favorite, yet annoying to some others, is the 15mph speed limit and when cars stop to let them cross the street. And they do take there time! There is a playground for the kids and a... More

This is a nice place to walk. A path circles the lake and you can walk, run or bike. There are many birds to keep you entertained while walking. Many restaurants nearby.

After an evening of dining, we all wanted to take a walk to stretch and end a perfect day of sight seeing. The walk was safe, clean and scenic, with a full moon and just the right temperature for strolling or walking briskly. Parking was free.

It was a great place to walk or jog. There are also many duck, geese and birds to feed. Other travelers indicated many duck droppings but it wasn't too bad. It is to be expected with so many birds. I went there to jog, one loop around the lake was approximately one mile so you can easily gauge your distance.
