Easy walking path around a small pond. It is within walking distance to the Peppermill. Nice place to bird watch and practice photography. Plenty of benches along the path.

We needed something to do before our plane left in the evening so we googled nearby parks and ofund Virginia Lake Park. Its got a large lake with many different types of birds nesting on a small island. The walking path is nicely maintained with lots of benches for resting. I believe there was a playground for kids as well.

When I'm in Reno, I always stop at Virginia Lake Park to feed the ducks and pigeons. It's always a scrap to keep the gulls from getting all the loot instead of the intended critters. I always have a good time.

great place to see nature and get away from gaming. Enjoy the walk around the lake. Feels safe during the day.

It was a nice place to stop and walk the dog. It was really windy when we were there. It is a fairly level walking path all the way around the lake.

This was right behind our hotel. We went there for a quick morning jog. Nice views of the mountains. Lot of dog walkers.

Don't suggest you hang out there at night, but during the day it is a great place to take the kids to feed the ducks or get in a little exercise.

So....the hubby & I arrived in Reno last night. We both got on the web looking for a nice, SAFE place for me to run & he found Virginia Lake Park on TripAdvisor. When I read Josh S's review, I has to wonder a little. But we asked the desk clerk at Peppermill & she said she would feel safe... More

I used to love walking my dog around Virginia Lake Park, but is so covered with goose poop that it has a horrible smell and is just nasty. You also see a lot of undesirable people loitering about and I don't feel safe in this area anymore.

Virginia Lake Park is a very quiet place with people walking, people fishing, and people watching and or feeding the ducks.
