A friend & I enjoyed the exhibit immensely. We also ate in the restaurant, which was delicious. It is an excellent art museum for a small city. The museum has purchased several pieces over the years which add to the building's appeal.

Lovely art museum and we totally enjoyed it. Tried the brunch with the live music on Sun. Musician was awful...sounded like a cat with its tail caught in the door. Asked the waitress to ask him to turn down the volume. Didn't really matter...still awful. Had the steak/eggs/potatoes. Fair at best. Potatoes cool, steak good, eggs runny. Daughter had the... More

This is a nice art museum with both a permanent collection (well done) as well as various visiting exhibitions. We have enjoyed going on multiple times most recently March 2014 to see Maurice Sendak's (artist) visiting exhibition. We like this art museum and worth visiting if in the Reno area.

For only ten bucks, you can see fabulous special exhibitions. The restaurant looked good, although we didn't try it. They had some great programs for education, too.

Varied permanent collection and well curated visiting exhibits. A vivacious and well funded museum. We like the ease for quick visits. An hour is really plenty here unless there are new exhibits. Membership advised.

We wanted to do something different in Reno with the kids and were quite surprised to find this museum. The Toulouse Lautrec exhibit was enjoyable, as were the other 1900 artists. There was a Freda Kahlo photo exhibit and Andy Warhol paintings as well. Other modern artists can be found in every corner. We will have to return to have... More

We had a great time seeing the art here. Wonderful rooftop sculptures and views, and going up the stairs gave us a view of a 2 or 3 story hanging art piece from the ceiling... Permanent collection was good, but the star for me was the Hispanic/Barrio exhibit - super wonderful - meaningful, colorful and with the times. Small fee.... More

This is a real gem in the Reno community! There are excellent temporary exhibits. Docents provide great tours and background on permanent and temporary exhibits. Lots of great art classes for both adults and children. Great cafe with delicious, creative food combinations. Be sure to check out the roof top for great views of the Reno/Sparks area!

Loved all the nice things there. Great to take the kids, lots to see and admire. I'll visit this place again next time I go to Reno, it was well worth it. Admission is decently priced too.

I can't rave enough about this gem. Don't miss it. The exhibits are wonderfully curated. The Architectural Modern Maverick show is stunning. I took a docent tour (9/22 1:00PM), and enjoyed it immensely. Can't believe I've forgotten her name, but she was GREAT. The spaces is excellent, including the roof. They commissioned a sculpture to go with the Architecture show... More
