I have been to this museum many time and can highly recommend it as one of the best small museums I have ever been to. They change exhibitions often and it's perfect for children since you can get through the various areas without their getting bored.

This was more than paintings on the wall. The Islamic Art exhibit was really informative and interesting. Also had some giant art pieces that were great places for photos.

I liked the beauty of this modern, state-of-the art facility that includes a cafe and gift shop and a view of the city from the rooftop. How nice to see an art museum of this quality in Reno. The particular exhibits there right now in July particularly resonated with me: the Picturing Mexico exhibit of the Mexican painter in the... More

The museum has a first Thursday every month and it's packed each time. They provide live music and with your admission price you get a drink coupon for a class of wine. It'a a great place to join friends and get some culture at the same time.

This is a modernized and upscale museum of art with a small selection of art work. The art work are of high quality. The admission is $10 per person which is very reasonable. The museum provides the patrons an atmosphere that makes them feel like they are in a high-end venue. It is great place to refresh your mind.

Okay, so the art size and collection are not the best; but some of the art there is world-class. And also, the ultra-mod architecture of the building itself is impressive. Plus there are three solid sculptures out front before you even go in, and plus a great sculpture on the rooftop level. Oh yes, and the rooftop affords a really... More

When we first visited Reno it seemed like a very depressing town - we don't gamble and the only reason we were there was to visit a married son. Over the years it has improved beyond belief. The Art Museum (the only accredited art museum in Nevada!) moved into its current building in 2003 and we have visited it probably... More

This museum is bright and airy with broad expanses of white walls. The exhibits are on the second and third level. Most of these exhibits are temporary, traveling exhibits with just a few permanent works. The offerings are always interesting, often unique. At this visit two were of note. Picturing Mexico, the works of Alfredo Ramos Martinez, is on display... More
