Great place for spring skiing! Their lodge is at 8,200 and last place in Tahoe with good snow! Two long lifts for beginners and great variety of runs for beginners. Corey was great with a private snowboard lesson with our boys! Check internet for awesome internet only deals! We'll return next year! Also great runs for advance and intermediate skiers!

Has a variety of slopes and great for both beginners and experts. This resort is very family oriented and is great for adults, kids, and teenagers.

In spite of a general lack of natural snow, the folks at Mt. Rose managed to create a great ski experience: plenty of man-made snow, excellent grooming, and super-friendly people.

If you stay in Reno, this is a must do ski area, as a warm up. The amenities are plenty good. There are enough runs to give you a good 1 day workout... Without getting bored. Food at the ski area is basically all the same. Priced high but no more or less than anywhere with that size ski area.... More

My Buddy and i have been traveling to Reno / Lake Tahoe for a ski holiday for nigh on 30 years. we used to always hit Mt. Rose on two fer Tuesday. Now we are older and have some artificial body parts we ski Mt. Rose exclusively, Well almost exclusively ( don't tell our wives). The runs while not the... More

Large selection of beginner terrain and challenging for the advanced skier also. Friendly family vibe. Closest ski resort to reno and the most likely to have snow. Snow is very well managed. Reasonable lift prices.

There are about six lifts and at least one of those carries 6 skiers at a time! The runs were well-groomed and the staff members were extremely friendly and appeared to really enjoy their jobs! You don't find that too often at a ski area! I found the lfit ticket to be a bit pricy, $86 I think it was,... More

A recent article rated Mt Rose as one of the top 5 underrated ski areas. I have to agree. Often overlooked in favor of neighboring areas like Squaw, Northstar, Heavenly and Sugar Bowl, all of which are closer to the Bay Area, Mt Rose has the highest altitude of them all. In lean snow years, this can translate to better... More

Mt Rose is a large ski resort that is only 25 minutes from downtown Reno. There are runs for all levels. The Rosebud program is geared to help children from 4 years old and up. They learn in a separate area away from the crowds and feature really good instructors. There are two different areas. The front side is the... More
