This "older" ski resort continues to reap the benefit of having about the highest elevation around with correspondingly good snow. Being in Nevada, the prices are less than at Northstar or Squaw Valley so for skiing there is somewhat more value for the money. For those who prefer "modern", "plastic" and "flashy", the California resorts would be better.

This resort is a local spot and just a quick drive from Reno. Truly quick, like 30 mins up the hill and then you get the fantastic view of the entire valley, Reno, Carson etc. They have a great program called the Rose Buds so if you would like to ski with the adults the kids can ski for 2... More

Mt. Rose is a great place to ski if you're not looking for glamor. They have everything you need for snow fun...nice cozy lodge bars and outdoor patios, and nice fun local people. The black diamonds are ski-able by mid-range skiers like me, might not be super exciting for maniacs. Novices have plenty of room to play and blue level... More

Just in time for the last significant snow fall for the season. Unexpected, but it's as pretty and fun to visit as always. And because it already past the season. Not too many visitors fighting for the facilities. Truly enjoyed.

Have skied here on several previous occasions. If you are flying into Reno, you can be on the slopes here within an hour. Good snow maintenance and lift operations. Easy parking. Overall, a fun place to ski!

Great place for spring skiing! Their lodge is at 8,200 and last place in Tahoe with good snow! Two long lifts for beginners and great variety of runs for beginners. Corey was great with a private snowboard lesson with our boys! Check internet for awesome internet only deals! We'll return next year! Also great runs for advance and intermediate skiers!

Has a variety of slopes and great for both beginners and experts. This resort is very family oriented and is great for adults, kids, and teenagers.

In spite of a general lack of natural snow, the folks at Mt. Rose managed to create a great ski experience: plenty of man-made snow, excellent grooming, and super-friendly people.

If you stay in Reno, this is a must do ski area, as a warm up. The amenities are plenty good. There are enough runs to give you a good 1 day workout... Without getting bored. Food at the ski area is basically all the same. Priced high but no more or less than anywhere with that size ski area.... More
