I'm a 12-year old who had never been skiing before and was really scared to try. I went with my family and some friends who were quite experienced. When I went, it took courage to even attempt skiing. But at Mt. Rose, the instructors were so kind and friendly. They helped each of the people in the class individually, making... More

I love going to MtRose ski resort. The runs aren't to steep and great for a family with small kids who are still learning. There's a great beginners class too! I noticed all the employees here are very helpful and friendly too!

I used to teach skiing at Northstar (10 yrs ago). Now that I have kids, I only want my kids to learn at Mt Rose. They have an amazing ski school for kids that is affordable and safe. I took my son to both Mammoth and Mt. Rose and my experience has been that the larger the resort the less... More

We originally chose Mt. Rose for its proximity to our hotel, only 25 minutes away. We chose to visit again a year later due to the great time we previously had. We were very happy with the lessons provided on our first visit, in 2013, after 25 years away from the slopes. The beginner package includes all equipment, lessons and... More

Have lived here for 2 years and my rose pass is a must. I started out a pretty good beginner and after a bunch of Rose skiing am now a pretty serious intermediate/advanced. When we moved here I went to ALL the resorts and go back to Rose time and time again not only because it's so close - but... More

Lots of specials, nice groomed runs if you like an easier experience. We like Ramsey's and the Slide side.

Great place for kids to learn and ski. Multiple courses for Intermediate level kids was useful, they didn't get bored. Wish the parents could see what the kids were taught/doing in Fox level lessons - in a way, good that they can be on their own but parents curiosity matters as well.

This was our first time here with our family. We went during ski week and there was plenty of snow and it wasn't too crowded so fast lift lines. They have a whole side of the mountain dedicated to beginners which was lots of fun. These runs were nice and wide and there are lots of trails too. There's also... More
