I have been skiing at Mt. Rose since the late 70's and have watched it change and grow over the years. My. Rose is great for locals, as I always see someone I know ( I also worked as a ski instructor in the 80's). The snow is generally quite dry with a base elevation of 8260ft. We also call... More

I took the drive to Tahoe over the Mt. Rose Highway and it was very beautiful here with great views, I don't ski but if I did I would try this place.

I have had a lot of great times with the family at Rose. All the employees have been there for a long time and the lift operators are really funny. They do a great job of grooming the trails and directing parking efficiently.

The Local's Ski Hill, big on vertical, little on crowds. Pricing is reasonable compared to the other ski resorts, with specials for First Timers. Be sure to take in the Winter Creek Lodge for tasty food specials, Local Bands, Great Apres Ski with a gorgeous view of the Valley.

Nice trails, senior local discount, lots of equipment and comforting apres ski places to relax. It is very close to Reno so is usually where we go.

Great for families. It is so close to Reno, you can ski a 1/2 day and still get to work. When the snow is good and the chutes are open, this mountain rivals all in the area.

I was snowboarding here every few days in Mount Rose, its not a big mountain and there arent that many trails (especialy if you are used to ski/board in the Alps), good for familys and friends, better to ski during the week than the weekend!!

Came here in December '13, family of 5. This was one of the most affordable ski resorts in the area with the different packages that they offered online. Skiing was good, considering that most of Tahoe had very little snow at the time of our visit. There are no nearby accommodations, and the food options were limited to one cafeteria... More

I'm a 12-year old who had never been skiing before and was really scared to try. I went with my family and some friends who were quite experienced. When I went, it took courage to even attempt skiing. But at Mt. Rose, the instructors were so kind and friendly. They helped each of the people in the class individually, making... More

I love going to MtRose ski resort. The runs aren't to steep and great for a family with small kids who are still learning. There's a great beginners class too! I noticed all the employees here are very helpful and friendly too!
