Let's face it, Reno is not one of the 10th wonders of the world. It is a casino town with some modernization occurring and some high tech industry moving in. However not many people realize that it has a very impressive University immediately north of the Downtown area. University of Nevada, Reno is a beautiful campus with a blend of... More

Very nice walking around the oldest portions of the University (South end). UNR dates back to the 1800s, long before there was a need to say 'Reno' on the end of the name (UNLV wasn't around for the better part of the next 100 years). The old architecture & grounds layout is modeled after the University of Virginia & you... More

The campus is great to walk around and just see the various landscapes that are available. The student center is great with a large book store, restaurants and business services.

The campus is very nicely landscaped. The bookstore holds many interesting items, lots of items printed with UNR, for proud parents and students alike. Our son got his PhD there, so we have been tot he campus many times, and the school provided him with a great doctorate experience.

Grounds are very beautiful, lovely place for a walk. Lots of activities including the major sports. Some street parking but the garages seem to work better.

Such a pretty campus and it was a great spot to get out and walk during a business trip in town. Worth a visit if you have some time.

Lovely grounds, and classic architecture. Wonderful mature trees set in the middle of town. Mackay stadium is home of the Wolfpack football team, that I still follow, even though i have moved to California. Go wolfpack!

This campus is beautiful. It isn't so huge as to be overwhelming, but it does have everything a bigger college has and it is located within walking distance to the downtown area of Reno, Nevada. Many programs are offered here and the college has a wonderful education, medical and law program just to name a few. It is also located... More

We took the free bus from Virginia St. then walked several hours around the campus, it is beautiful. Had the chance to talk with several young people, (students) that all spoke highly of the university. I enjoyed the bookstore a great deal...

I just moved to Reno and couldn't believe how beautiful this campus is. I'm not sure what you would do here as a visitor, but the student center is open to all with a number of eateries and bookstore and the football games are fun as the stadium is relatively small so all seats are good seats.
