Beautiful campus

We enjoyed the baseball games during the Mountain West tournament at Picole Park even if it did rain on us.

My wife and I are both UC grads and I always thought my boys would pick a California school. But after visiting the campus, and finding out that my son could get a reduced tuition for his good grades and test score, AND graduate in four years (a rarity in CA). We all loved UNR. It's a beautiful campus, close... More

My oldest son, graduated on May 15 th from UNR. The campus isbeautiful. They've successfully combined the original old look of the school with new buildings. There's great access to downtown and many different eateries of your choice. The facility centre that sponsored the ceremonies is beautiful. There was a wonderful selection of kiosks to get snacks, food abd beverages... More

This school holds an awesome all day event for prospective students and their families. Warning though- we walked over 7 miles by the time the day was done (and there are LOTS of steps)!! The school seems really nice, very impressed. Saw several different academic buildings and residence halls, had lunch, talked with professors... just a really packed full of... More

A land grant college with a grassy quad (where they have summer watermelon concerts), all the sports (basketball, baseball, football), a fine arts building for theater, dance and music, not too big (18,000 students), a fairly new student union for speakers and films with a food court, a state-of the- art library and.a fitness center with an Olympic-sized pool and rock... For several year now, we have held season tickets for these performances. This group just keeps getting better and better. Nightengale Hall is the perfect venue for this Orchestra, the acoustics are exceptional. We will be purchasing season tickets for next year!

The University of Nevada at Reno campus is a very nice surprise for most people. Beautiful setting, great place to see local history, especially the geology museum. Also a wide spectrum of intercollegiate athletics, lectures, concerts, picnics, planetarium and a beautiful place to walk around
