This is great hands on museum catering to children infant thru teens. Lots to see and do. there is a great climbing frame built to look like a cloud and a 'river' to float boats on the lowest floor. There are many exhibits that follow early life in Nevada, mining, farming and ranching and the arrival and culture of Basque... More

We went with our daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons. It is very interactive for children and they had a great time. It gets a little tedious for grownups as sometimes we forget how to be young.

This place has an abundance of wonderful, safe, educational interactive exhibits and equipment for children to explore! In addition, there is a kitchen/snack bar area where you can take your own lunch or dinner, store it in the refrigerators if you wish, and then enjoy when you are ready for a break in the very nice and well equipped self-serve... My family recently spent the day at the Discovery Museum in Reno. There is free parking in an adjacent lot and metered street parking. Our Ft. Lauderdale Discovery Museum membership card got us in free. My 8 and 10 year old boys stayed busy for over 5 hours. There is so much to do there. The only reason we left... More
