First time here was awesome!!! My boyfriend and I came here last week and had a blast just the 2 of us! At first we where skeptical because we had assumed it was only for little kids but we where proven wrong! My favorite was the Human body exhibit! My boyfriend had a blast in the cloud climber may have... More

...including adult kids. We like taking a break from a week long ski vacation and have gone here twice. There's a fantastic indoor climbing structure that covers two floors, a "shop" where the kids can do art projects (frame this year, stuffed animal last year) and exhibits that change. My son enjoyed the Freshwater Monsters exhibit about enormous fish that... More

The Discovery Museum provides an interactive playground for children of all ages. The facility is clean, parking is available, and the location is near but not adjacent to the many hotels and resorts in Reno. We take our 8yr old daughter there occasionally and she enjoys the hands on participation and visual stimulation of the various exhibits.

We were there for about an hour and a half, and hadn't covered half the fun, but had to leave. Tons of hands on activities, physical activities and much information all around. Loved how so many of the tools were recycled materials. Had a blast, can't wait to go back.

Took my pre-teens here for a few hours. They would have loved it at 5 and 6 y.o. Not so much at 11 and 12.

Went to the museum to see the giant fish exhibit which was very informative. The museum is an interactive museum primarily for children but we found it enjoyable and informative. It was great to watch the children be so engaged. Husband commented next time we babysit this would be a place to take the kids.

All 3 of my kids love the wood workshop. My 3 yr old daughter discovered all types of fun with the water. Some of the darker areas scared here though. Great place for a younger kids birthday party!!

This is a family fun museum of learning opportunities. We are member pass holders. We spend time regularly there with our five year old. There are learning exhibits, educational demonstrations, and art areas. We have built a number of family fun projects in the workshop, as well as built Keva block structures as a family. Spend an hour or the... More

This Science Museum features permanent and visiting exhibitions, and while mainly for a kids' audience, adults can find plenty to learn there as well. They offer many hands-on exhibits, from the water-filled model of the Truckee River to the DaVinci lab where you can experiment with propellers and catapults. My 4 and 8 year old nephews spent an entire day... More

At $10 per person, I was initially concerned about the value of this excursion, however, it was well worth the cost of admission! My 4 and 5 year old played for hours and could have played for several more if lunch was available for purchase. They had a guest artist for the day and we were able to make a... More
