My family recently spent the day at the Discovery Museum in Reno. There is free parking in an adjacent lot and metered street parking. Our Ft. Lauderdale Discovery Museum membership card got us in free. My 8 and 10 year old boys stayed busy for over 5 hours. There is so much to do there. The only reason we left... More

Our 1.5 year old loves the under 5 play area as well as the water exhibit with wooden boats & rubber duckies. It's a great place for the cooler months when wind can make the parks a little too much to deal with. The family pass is worth the money for this alone, paying for each visit can get cost... More

First of all, it's great that there is a children museum in Reno, NV so that if the kids and you are done skiing but wanted to spend some quality time in Reno, NV, this is the place. Like other reviews. It's great for the whole family, lots of activities for all ages. Normally I write Pros and Cons, but... More

There are a host of activities for children to enjoy, many based on the geography, history and lore of Western Nevada. It features the most imaginative and largest (3 stories) climbing structure I have encountered. The museum seems more tuned to younger children (under 10) who will find a variety of activities to engage them.

There are two floors full of activities and learning opportunities for children. My eight year old thoroughly enjoys going to the arts & crafts area, and the science part of it on the second floor. My 1 year old loves the toddler room. It's always full of children just laughing and enjoying themselves. I think I probably enjoy it as... More

Took my 2 year old grandson there for a recent visit. They have some very entertaining exhibits and a room designed for kids under 5. I would say, although relatively small mu2eum, it has some quality items for play. The entry fee was a little pricy, at $8. Even for a 2 year old. There are some fun things to... More

Our 3 & 5 year olds loved it and would have stayed all day had we let them. I think it would be fun and interesting for kids under 10. I would allow about 3-4 hours. There are vending machines only inside so eat before you come or use the pass out system to wander across to food places one... More

This is a superb attraction for both kids and adults! There are lots of fun, interactive exhibits for children of all ages. Kids love to climb the clouds on the lower level, and adults do too! There are lots of additional activities that the museum provides outside of its regular exhibits, including Social Science for adults. The gift shop offers... More

For $8 per head, it's slightly steep but acceptable. The place wasn't crowded when we visited on a weekday. Nice establishment and a good alternative to the Circxs Circxs arcade. Will visit again.

Take a climb in the clouds, learn how things are made, experiment with flowing water, can you build a pipe for the water to get where it needs to go on the moveable pipe wall. Experiment your building abilities while you build and learn how batteries work. Many activites await you at the Terry Lee Wells Discovery Museum. Bring the... More
