This place is managed with help from volunteers. Lloyd shanks a volunteer gave US a tour of the museum. Don't miss the tour when you are here. Also they have a 20 minutes movie which is a great way to begin the tour. Plan ahead to get most out of it.

If you're into old cars, this is the place. A shadow of Harrah's former collection, but still worth seeing. from some of the very first autos, to race cars and the unusual. Only thing better for viewing old cars is Hot August nights. There are walking tours, or look on your own. The gift shop a great collection of old... More

Miss is an amazing collection of collectible cars from the beginning of cars. We were luck enough to have a docent give us our first tour of the museum. He pointed out the most significant autos and gave more background information than you would probably glean on your own. If someone we know is going to Reno, we highly recommend... More

It is fantastic, this the collection of Bill Harrah. It starts with cars from the late 1890's. that were steam run cars until the late 1970's. the only reason it stops there is that Bill Harrah died in 1976. The cars are gorgeous, the way that had been redone, really authentic. For $ 10.00 can really be amazed for the... More

I brought my class of engineers to visit the museum to illustrate how manufacturing has changed throughout the history and to show what is old (electric cars) is new again. The museum is well setup to keep car enthusiast fascinated, historians happy, and non-interested parties amused. This place is a Reno must see. Plus, they offer great space for special... More

This collection goes way beyond just appealing to car nuts (although I confess to being one of those). One can spend several hours wandering through the collection, divided into four eras, learning a good deal of history. The display settings are a treat, echoing the era involved, with, for instance, 50s era television sets showing the Milton Berle show, Burma... More

A must see with lots of history, and cars that I had never heard of. Amazing that the majority of these cars are operational. Many cars can be adopted. A very large display of very old cars, and a smaller display of 1950's and newer. Plan on spending 3-4 hours minimum to get the full effect of this amazing museum.... More
