Besides the sign, there's not much else to see out here. Some fighters flew by when I was there, but nothing special. No UFOs, but then again, I was there in the middle of an August afternoon. One of the signs (I think the north bound one), has stickers and stuff all over it. I think that adds to the... More

We drove up Highway 93 to see Great Basin National Park. We decided to take a different route back to Las Vegas (a longer route but a different view). We drove thru Extraterrestrial Highway. I had never really knew very much about this road but it had a fun name and a different view for the way back to Las... More

If it wasn't for geocaching this road would be much less travelled and we would have never come this way to do just that. This desolate road is pretty cool witht he thoughts that you could actually see something extraterrestrial. We only drove it the 40 miles to Rachel and back. Can't imagine how hot it would be in the... More

Great drive and experience. Make sure you are fueled up and hit the road. Watch out for the free range cows that can wonder into the road. Often you'll hear some sonic booms and if you are lucky you can witness some great military training exercises and dogfights in the sky. The Little Alien Inn has a lot of history... More

We traveled as a couple on a day tour out of Las Vegas to the Little Alien Inn which is off of the Extraterrestrial Highway. We stopped several places for photos but other than that there is nothing any where. The road which is straight as an arrow seems to go on for ever, you look like your driving off... More

This is a quiet well-maintained road with really only one tiny town right in the middle. Make sure you have enough gas to get to the other end because I don't think they have any in Rachel although they do have a cute little restaurant and gift shop. We stopped to check out the black mailbox in the way by.... More

Watch your gas consumtion as you'll get stranded otherwise! Great vistas. Not much traffic at all on thus route. Take food & water. :-)

I went to Rachel to visit the Little A'le'inn Cafe. I just wanted to see the place for myself. I'm not sure how other people regard this place but for myself, personally, it's embroiled in contemporary mythology and somewhere I've always wanted to go. You have to be aware (as I was) EXACTLY what you are going to see when... More

We drove the ET highway during a trip from Tonopah to Zion in September. It was our first time driving in the desert and we took care to take enough water and food and to have a full tank of gas. The road is better to drive on than I had expected and it was amazing to travel alone for... More

Besides the graffiti ridden signs it's just another NV highway through the desert. Still the bragging rights are kinda cool....
