We just went to look at the dam because we were passing and it was there. Never expected to find a well landscaped area with bbq's bench's cover for shade and you also had access to the Colorado river, with some nice views alround it would be a great spot for a family day out.

Due to "security" you can't drive across the bridge in front of the dam. Lake Mohave is awesome. Have a good time. Thanks to whoever put in all the mileage markers, navigational hazard buoys, etc.

there is a park area nearby but otherwise it is just a dam on the river. the park does have a picnic area where on a nice day you could stop and also a beach but I don't know how warm or cold the water is.

Just and inexpensive boat ride down the river. Nice couple hours on the river, it will help to cool you down.

We always come down to Laughlin from Las Vegas for the swimming at Davis Camp. Decided to take the short 5min drive to the dam. The Dam was closed but you could still drive to the edge which is beautiful. Drove into Lake Mead off the side and off roaded to Princess Cove. It was a little dirty and the... More

Every time I head to Laughlin I bring my mountainbike. I like to hit up the trails that lead up to Davis dam. The main paved walkway never has people on it and you still get to see nice wildlife. Last time there saw rabbits and a baby fox. Area and trails are clean and nice.

Took the USS Riverside for an excursion tour. It traveled from the Riverside Casino north to the Davis Dam, turned around, went south to Harrah's Casino, ans returned to the Riverside Casino. The views of the Davis Dam from the boat were wonderful.

The dam is closed to visitors but you can drive across the inlet to a small parking lot with informative interpretive signs about the dam and area. The dam is interesting because it's different - 1600 ft wide and 200 ft high with a power plant on the inlet. And it's windy if you want to cool off!
