I read a bunch of reviews here and thought we'd give it a shot. Definitely more of a locals crowd but the $8.99 steak meal is an amazing value and very tasty. The waitress was great and we won a few hundred on a $20. Good time I recommend it.

Just turn right off the strip and walk ten minutes to find this charming Casino hotel and restaurant. The place is medium sized and really friendly compared to teh gambling factories of the strip. The only shtick it has is home brewed beer which is just awesome, and great value. The tables are welcoming with excellent croupiers. The restaurant serves... More

Before my recent trip to Las Vegas I was on the hunt to find an affordable more low key restaurant. My boyfriend is not one for the over priced small food portions which is why this restaurant was perfect. Not only are the prices great our server Eugene was amazing. The friendliness of the whole staff was great. Food was... More

The food was yummy. Among our group we had the $8.99 steak dinner special, prime rib, and shrimp. All was delicious and perfectly cooked as requested. No luck at the slots though.

My husband and I first visited Ellis Island in 2002, because I found out about it while talking to an employee at the Monte Carlo, where we were staying. We asked for a decent, inexpensive place to get a good steak for lunch, and this was where he sent us. I think the lunch special, which was not on the... More

We went here based on reading other reviews. It's nice to find a place to eat in Vegas that has reasonable prices. This is what Vegas used to be. The restaurant and BBQ place both had a wait of over an hour so we ate at the bar in the middle. We ordered the sampler platter. It was very tasty... More

Super cheap beer that they brew in house, very nice staff, and tasty fish and chips and chicken and fries. Kind of smelly due to the casino.

well they have fun machines, better ones than at any Harrahs hotel. for a small off the strip casino (quick 5 min walk from Bailys) they have some of the new games payout is average and did find that the games hit bonuses more so than the strip casinos cocktail service poor - they say voted number 1 for 2014... Read some reviews here and thought, I must try the food at Ellis. My brother and I have been going to Las Vegas for over 20 years and this is one of the nicer little hidden gems. The breakfast was great and very affordable. About 3/4 of a mile from Ballys but worth the walk.People were friendly and the food... More

Ellis Island is a locals kinda place. Laid back atmosphere and no 'fashion show' here. Great craft brew made on site. Had the IPA and the Stout and both were beauties! Won enough at barside video poker to pay the tab too - not that that would take much as the food and booze is almost free! If you like... More
