As with many of the smaller restaurants, you have to walk through the smoky casino to get to the restaurant, and that smell lingers. There are two choices for restaurants - the BBQ, which was recommended by our concierge, is in one room; the regular restaurant is in another. With a pot roast special at $8.99, we chose the regular... More

Had heard for years about the steak dinner special that was not on the menu, so finally go off my duff and checked it out. Was not a member at Ellis Island, so signed up. You had to play a slot to receive a voucher. No problem. Got the voucher and went to the restaurant. Was around 7PM so was... More

We were determined to see what old school welcome feelings there was left in Vegas. We stayed at the Orleans and they run a shuttle bus to the side of Ballys. It was only one long block away to Ellis Island and we figured we would give it a try and of course visit their restaurant. The casino employees were... More

I wouldn't stay here, I wouldn't eat at the sandwich shop (smells funny) but the restaurant inside is spectacular if you are on a budget, lost to much money to eat else where or have a big family. Everything I have tried, steak sandwich, steak and eggs, prime rib, cornbeef breakfast... Ive been there several times. It has all been... More

Close to Bally's, Ellis Island is totally worth getting away from the Strip. Their craft brew is on point and only $2 for a pint. The casino is smoky and very old-school Vegas, but so worth the visit.

I read a bunch of reviews here and thought we'd give it a shot. Definitely more of a locals crowd but the $8.99 steak meal is an amazing value and very tasty. The waitress was great and we won a few hundred on a $20. Good time I recommend it.

Just turn right off the strip and walk ten minutes to find this charming Casino hotel and restaurant. The place is medium sized and really friendly compared to teh gambling factories of the strip. The only shtick it has is home brewed beer which is just awesome, and great value. The tables are welcoming with excellent croupiers. The restaurant serves... More

Before my recent trip to Las Vegas I was on the hunt to find an affordable more low key restaurant. My boyfriend is not one for the over priced small food portions which is why this restaurant was perfect. Not only are the prices great our server Eugene was amazing. The friendliness of the whole staff was great. Food was... More
