Not what it used to be

The rooms have really taken a beating over the years. In reality, in Vegas, you're not in your room very often anyway.

At one time this was one of my favorite casinos it had energy and was a fun place to be. They had a carnival show that ran at night with clowns , jugglers and floats that flew overhead with people throwing you beads. It was a fun lively place to be and I loved being there. Several years ago they changed... More

Poker WSOP event very well organized, great staff. The RIO did a great job handling the huge numbers of poker players attending the WSOP. One thing I would change is the amount of starting chips. I know that the amount was increased this year but it still isn't enough to engage properly and be able to 'gamble' a bit. With... More

We stopped here while waiting for the Penn and Tiller show to start. They did have live keno which we wanted to do, The odds are not in your favor but it was fun. We were told the rio has some of the worst payoffs on the slots. We bypassed those. The casino appeared to be older.

Attending events at the World Series of Poker. Run down facility. Crowded. Bathrooms inadequate and not properly serviced. Mediocre food at outrageous prices. You can tell morale is low as it shows. Typical Harrahs operation. Low class and high prices. Cannot imagine what the rooms are like. Gary Loveman is a genius. (And I guarantee if he travels to Las... More

We went to The Rio during the WSOP, World Series of Poker, took in a Penn and Teller show (also reviewed) and gambled at the casino. If you are a poker fan, you can spend quite a bit of time watching games at all stakes and all levels. TIP: If you are watching the WSOP and want a break, there... More

Not the best bang for your buck. The staff all seemed up tight and snobby. Dealers had poor attitudes and almost seemed to be upset if u were winning. Put boss took forever to acknowledge you were there. Probably because I look young. In a tier 2 diamond but i was treated like a nobody like I didn't exist.

This is the casino where the World Series of Poker is held. There is a gift shop available outside of the main gaming area and you can walk in and observe games while they're being played. The main casino offers plenty of great table games and slot machines, and the casino also offers a fabulous buffet, one of the best... More

From the minute I walked into the lobby to check in I knew it was going to be a wonderful stay. The service to check in was slow at first because of a very long line, but immediately the staff began opening up new check in stations to speed up the process. I didn't need to ask for any services,... More
