Good times, expensive drinks.

Self contained casino. The Rio is not on the strip so its a self contained facility. The atmosphere and vibe are a lot of fun. The drinks in the bars are expensive.

Second time at Rio, I forgot how huge are their rooms. The hotel is great, unfortunately the show is gone and nothing looks Brazilian anymore. They will have to change their name soon to something else! Pool area with sand better than others for sure. Food expensive but the BK still reasonable. Seafood buffet always expensive.

Great place to stay and gamble. The drink hosts/hostesses are very friendly and attentive. Great selection of gaming options and places to eat. But, DON'T SIGN UP FOR ANY PROMOTIONS while you are there, unless you enjoy receiving cold calls from salesmen on a daily basis. Salesmen who don't seem to understand the meaning of the phrase "please put me... More

I came for the WSOP and spent most of my time at the Rio. Being away from the Strip is troublesome if you want to get around, but since I wanted to play poker, I was fine being at the Rio almost the entire time. 8/10 experience.

Over all the experience is always good with just a few minor kinks. I would say the slots are super tight and tough to beat the tables. Some dealers are super friendly but there are those few that need an attitude adjustment or learn how to smile once in while. Even though I'm losing it nice to see a dealer... More

We've stayed at lots of places in Vegas and gambled in most and we still like the Rio the best. It's off the strip, al plus for us, and the atmosphere and service is great. The restaurants are pretty good, the casino is fun and simple, and the people are very friendly and helpful. Plus shuttle service to the strip... More

The rooms have really taken a beating over the years. In reality, in Vegas, you're not in your room very often anyway.

At one time this was one of my favorite casinos it had energy and was a fun place to be. They had a carnival show that ran at night with clowns , jugglers and floats that flew overhead with people throwing you beads. It was a fun lively place to be and I loved being there. Several years ago they changed... More

Poker WSOP event very well organized, great staff. The RIO did a great job handling the huge numbers of poker players attending the WSOP. One thing I would change is the amount of starting chips. I know that the amount was increased this year but it still isn't enough to engage properly and be able to 'gamble' a bit. With... More

We stopped here while waiting for the Penn and Tiller show to start. They did have live keno which we wanted to do, The odds are not in your favor but it was fun. We were told the rio has some of the worst payoffs on the slots. We bypassed those. The casino appeared to be older.
