Who would think you can ski while visiting LV. Fun little resort and easy to get to (less than an hr from LV). Could actually be quite challenging if they get a lot of snow (upper mountain, not chair accessible).

We went there on Friday, January 2 and they were sold out, we were told the best thing is to purchase online, which we did, and went back on Sunday morning, January 4, for the first session of the day, 9:00 am. As the workers prepped the area, putting mats out to slow down the tubes, they were ready for... More

A bit of a trek from downtown, your kids will definitely enjoy the tubing run at this resort. We went in the break between Christmas and New Year's so it was pretty crowded. Crowds are lighter in the earlier hours. Not an amazing run, but cheap and fun. It could be better-run. The kids in charge are kind of lax... More

I enjoy Las Vegas as much as the next person but I'm always looking for daytime non gambling activities near LV. I have been going in late Jan. for several years and have always gone a day early so that I can ski a day at Mt. Charleston. Yes it's not Vail or Aspen, but $80 for lift, eqip, and... More

I have many places that I like to spend time with my family and friends, but the place I like the best is Mount Charleston. This place is amazing to get out of the heat and Las Vegas, it has a much cooler temperature. Most of the time we ride motorcycles and really enjoy it with a cool breeze, the curves... More

I havn't been to this resort in the winter, only in the summer. If you like to hike it is magnificient. Up above 8000 feet the air is crisp and clear even in the summer. You can hike up the slopes and climb to over 9000 feet. There are horses that roam the top of the ridge and the views... More

If you are not a hard-core skier that goes to Vail, Tahoe, or other skiing destinations, or if only some in your family want to ski, this is a great option if you are in Vegas. It takes only an hour to get to the mountain, at they rent not only skis and boots, but clothing as well. If you... More

Based on other reviews we were hesitant to take our kids skiing here for their first experience gliding down the slopes. We decided to try it when we saw discounted packages online. The prices for lift tickets+rentals were more than reasonable. Without a doubt this was a fantastic experience. We arrived and dropped off our kids in the ski-kids yurt... More

Check the weather often before your trip. The forecast can change quickly sometimes. The resort is very pretty. If you are used to skiing in perfect resorts like Utah or Colorado then you may be a little bit disappointed. This place is not perfect but it not bad either. Caution to new skiers: the slopes are a little bit more... More

If you have kids and want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Sin City, LVSSR is a great place. We did not venture into renting skis or boards as we lack the appropriate clothing, and renting the whole mumbo jumbo seem a little bit expensive for out big group. We did enjoy hot chocolate and a quick... More
