Many poor illusions and bad dancing

This is the worst magic show I have ever seen in Vegas. The dancing was not coordinated, dancers missing steps, etc. and the illusions were generally poor. He only had a couple... read more

This is the worst magic show I have ever seen in Vegas. The dancing was not coordinated, dancers missing steps, etc. and the illusions were generally poor. He only had a couple of good tricks and the rest was generally boring.

Advised the manager we were on honeymoon and instantly got upgraded to the best seats in the house! The show itself was good, but broken up with the dancing element ... Jan managed to get my husband on stage! Genius!! The illusions themselves are breathtaking - still scratching our heads over a couple of them! Well worth a visit, especially... More

Jan Rouven is an excellent magician, and has some very dramatic and outstanding magic in his show. However, the flow of the show, and the need for dancers to keep the action moving were a bit disconcerting, and took away from the show. If you love magic, Jan's magic will entertain you. If you want a show that flows and... More

This is a first rate show. His Illusions are mind blowing; I like that the show starts at 7 so you could bring your kids, it's family friends but could be a bit scary for little (below 6) We loved it.

I knew about Jan prior to going to this show, so I may be a little biast. I thought this was a good show. Jan is German and enjoys his German music; and so he should. He has a few dancers that fill the time between acts, some may find it boring, but I had no issue with them. I... More

Our friend from Germany recommended we see this show the next time we were in Vegas and we were glad we did. We haven't seen David Copperfield or any other big shows so we can't compare this show to them. Jan is very personable, draws the audience in, and does a great job with his stunts and magic. We were... More

Recently saw this show having bought a reduced ticket at tickets4tonite. Do not pay full price!. The show is just ok. The night I attended the theater was, maybe, 1/3 full. None of the tricks are new--seen all of them many times before and performed with more jazz as well. Jan Rouven tries hard to involve the audience but the... More

Paid for the VIP seats and wish we just got general seating. The show isn't great, it's very basic and there is only one "wow" act. The dancers are horrible, made me cringe watching them. Not sure how this got voted "best magic act" in Vegas.... If you get discounted general seating tickets it is worth going, just don't pay... More

Jan Rouven was a great show. WE were continually amazed and charmed with his dancers , stunts and magic. THe hand is quicker than the eye and We could not figure out his illusions. He was fast and fun. His self deprecating manor was charming and his show was worth the price.

We have been to Vegas three times now and each time have been hoping for a good "magic" show. Maybe my expectations are too high. David Copperfield was so-so; Penn and Teller were quite disappointing, mainly because of their atheist views preached on stage; so we had high hopes for Jan Rouven, after all, he couldn't be worse than the...
