I like this place, it's smaller, older and feels like Vegas. There is a place in there for breakfast that has the BEST sourdough pancakes!! More

i think this may be my fav casino in Vegas, it's small but OHHH so fun. They play upbeat music, always have dancers and great drink service. Gloria is my fav waitress there, she come around fast and is happy to see you. I tend to have pretty good luck there and my husband likes the blackjack game they offer.... More

Great location on Fremont Street. the dealers alternate between dealing and dancing on tables. It actually has a pretty good vibe going on. Decent energy and can be fun when you catch it on the right day. More

Every year I am in town I make it to the Golden Gate at least three or four times. And every year the same bartender, I think his name is Curley, has been there. Nothing will grind you down in this business more than dealing with tourists. You develop and edge that becomes a shell around you. I have been... More

Sal Sagev...gotta look in the history books to find this one. No telling how many incarnations this place has had. I understand that it had the first telephone in Vegas. Even though it has had many makeovers, GG is still one of my favorite places. No secrets about it, I'm a fan of old Vegas, and I find the newer... More

We have been staying at the Golden Gate for about 4 years now, several times per year. You can't beat the price, but the service and quality is outstanding. The rooms are small, yes, but we don't go to Las Vegas to stay in our room. Updated decor, TV, furniture, etc. Location can't be beat if you like downtown. There... More

My wife and I are low rollers so we loved the famous $1.99 shrimp cocktails and the penny slots at the Golden Gate (GG). After a nice shrimp snack, we played the slots and actually won about $60.00 on the penny slots. Don't let the penny slot name fool you.....you have to play at least a quarter a pull. After... More

Amazing time at Golden Gate Casino last Christmas...the shrimp cocktail was the cheapest ever and so yummy! only .99 cents! The security guard was actually a historian and gave us a private tour of the quaint casino/hotel along with pointing out the haunted room upstairs and many historical items within the casino. It's the oldest in Vegas! Such a rat... More

My boyfriend and I go to Vegas often and always stay in the strip. We love to go downtown at least once each time we are there. We had a lot of fun the last time we were at the Golden Gate, so we decided to go there again this time. We were so happy we did. The dealers were... More
