This course has three courses. I played the wolf course. Great desert layout in great shape as of 5/15. Long taxi from strip. So it's worthwhile to rent a car but it's an easy 40 minute drive from the strip. Definitely worth playing.

Clubhouse was decent and the course(s) were pristine. Not a difficult course unless your a beginner, and it is designed where you never really see another fairway except the one your on. No walkers to slow you down and nice mountain views. No distractions either because you are so far off the strip and airport.

Didn't stay here so can't comment on that. Stayed on the Strip and drove to resort. Played the Snow - The original course. Course was in great shape. Played in the afternoon (1:45) and the pace of play was perfect. Overcast day for Vegas weather and the winds were blowing with 25-30 mph gusts at times. The winds increased the... More

Was conducting a training class north of here and only place to eat without driving back to Las Vegas. Food was excellent and plenty of it.

Went to Las Vegas with 41 other guys and played golf for three days, two at Paiute (played Snow and Wolf) and one at Red Rock Arroyo. The folks at Paiute have it down. Friendly staff was always available. Good food choices and plenty of drinks. Golf courses are very well maintained and beautiful. They are all about helping groups... More

Teed off at 12:20. After 5 1/2 hours we left the course on the 14th hole. This course is overbooked with three groups on every hole. Sitting 15 minutes between every swing.

This place is about 30 minutes NW of the Strip. Nice facility, three 18-hole courses. We played Sun Mountain, and were joined with locals. They said the wind is common (it's in the middle of nowhere). Course was in decent condition, however we would not play here again, due to wind and travel time and price. There are better options... We played 36 holes on a package that included lunch. The course was very nice. The lunch was very good including the service. The golf course staff was very friendly and helpful. The Wolf course was very nice and the greens were exceptional. This was a highlight of a golf trip that included several venues.

Played the Snow course and absolutely loved the Pete Dye design. Very challenging if you go aggressive. As other reviewers have said, this place is out in the middle of nowhere. And that is not a bad thing. It is very quiet and peaceful, albeit a bit breezy at times. The only issue with the course is pace of play.... More

Paiute is probably a 40-minute drive from The Strip (depending, of course, on the often terrible traffic). But if it's golf you are after, Paiute is a pretty good choice. There are three, top-caliber Pete Dye courses that, in spite of Mr. Dye's reputation, are fair courses for average golfers. There are two practice ranges, locker rooms, and a restaurant... More
