Description: Royal Links was built to honor the rich history and tradition of the game...
Royal Links was built to honor the rich history and tradition of the game of golf. Designed by Dye International, this links-style course features holes inspired by eleven different British Open rotation courses, including the Road Hole and Hell Bunker from the Old Course at St. Andrews and the Postage Stamp from Royal Troon. Other courses in the loop include Carnoustie, Turnberry, Royal Liverpool, Prestwick, Royal Lytham, Muirfield and Royal Birkdale.Monuments were erected at various locations throughout the golf course indicating the spots where great moments in British Open history took place. A Champions Wall stands near the all-turf practice range honoring American champions of the British Open. Golfers may choose to engage the services of a professional forecaddie adding to the "Scottish" experience. These forecaddies are knowledgeable about the history of each hole, as well the location of the 108 pot bunkers, some of which are hidden. Walking caddies are also available and are required for those who choose to walk. Royal Links was recognized as the "Best Course in Las Vegas" in the 2006 Review Journal "Best Of Vegas" poll and one of "America's BEST Courses" by GolfWeek. Located less than 20 short minutes from the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, the castle-style clubhouse hosts a nationally recognized golf shop, which was ranked as one of "American's Best 100 Golf Shops" in 2004 & 2005 by GolfWorld Business. It is stocked with name brand apparel, equipment, quality art and collectables. The shop also offer rentals of the Callaway X2 HOT clubs and FootJoy shoes. The clubhouse is also home to Stymie's Pub, an authentic re-creation of a British pub, serving traditional fare like fish and chips, bangers, as well as breakfasts, salads and sandwiches. An on-course beverage cart service is also available. An English style call box is available at the 9th tee, providing golfers the opportunity to order lunch as they make the turn, or to have the meal delivered to them on the course. Adding some gaming excitement to the round, Royal Links offers a "Beat The Pro" challenge for all golfers who wish to test their skill against course personnel on a Par 3 "closest to the hole" contest for merchandise credit in the golf shop. Royal Links Golf Club is also features the ParMates program, a female caddy service that was designed to add a unique extra experience to your round of golf.

It was a lot of fun playing these holes designed after famous Scottish British Open courses. Very realistic. Demands course management because if not, those bunkers are placed in just the right spots to swallow your ball. A very fun course to play! Good staff.

The course was top notch when we visited last week. Greens were super fast and the tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. Our parmate Leah was great worth the extra money for a great time on the course. The staff was top notch from start to finish. Definitely recommend playing here on your next trip to Vegas!

It's very sad to say, but I've been to Royal Links at least 6 times and the course has gotten steadily worse. And the pace of play has really gotten to be awful! We were shocked when the course ranger seemed not to even care that we were in the middle of a 5-1/2 hour round. The back 9 felt... More

Hello Jay, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We extremely dismayed to read that your enjoyment at our course has declined over time, culminating in a desire not to return. As golfers ourselves we know pace of play is crucial to the golf experience. It can be difficult for us to keep the pace of play... More

Played here on a buddies trip. Course is awesome and the greens were the best we've putted on. Super fast and pure! Bunkers are tough and plentiful. If you want to enjoy a great round on a fun track, this is the place.

Far from the madding crowds, but not too far, Royal Links was a most pleasant golfing experience. Full marks to the staff from the pro shop to the cart staff and a true gentleman in the bar whose name I shamefully forget. His attention during a brief rain delay was a model for customer service. Not to mention a mean... More

A very well maintained golf course made up of famous holes from throughout the British Isles. As a good golfer, I found the course challenging but very fair. I do have a penchant for links courses and the desert gives this place a really cool niche with the lush greens, tees, and fringes; the beautiful browned fairways and the absolutely... More

Hello Jim, Thank you for taking the time to review us! Our grounds crew works hard to keep the conditions like they are, so they'll be thrilled with your feedback. The next step for you is to come back between April and October when the fairways are full green to see which version of the course you like better. We... More

I'm a major golf fan, i will play dozens of rounds a year, and I also am a frequent Vegas visitor (again not to qualify my review but to get this out of the way) I when i saw the stream of ads for Royal links come through my email box and the concept they had of playing the best... More

Hello Neal, We are thrilled that you took the time to review us! We are however extremely dismayed by what we read in your review. We have an explanation. Though it does not offer a resolution, we think is will explain the situation during your visit on that day in September 2014. At the end of every summer, for one... More

This is a fun place to play golf with 18 replica holes from British Open links courses....and to get a Coyote watching you play the 13th adds drama! I also scored 35 points playing off 24 so happy days!

Last day in Vegas, my friends and I decided to go golfing with a ParMate at Royal Links. Reserved everything online: golf & ParMate. In hindsight I probably will try Bali Hai next time and CALL the model agency regarding ParMate selection. The golf course must be near a waste water treatment plant...enough said. Service was top notch. The barmaid... More

My Wife and I enjoyed the course. We have played in Scotland, and she was banned from Royal Troon for being a women. She was interested to see what she missed. The course is well kept. The holes are not exact reproductions, but are good approximations of what they look like in Scotland. They are much more forgiving versions than... More
