Seeing the lions every day was one of the most enjoyable parts of staying at the MGM Grand. The lions live on a ranch and only spend a half-day in the habitat every 7-10 days, so we sometimes saw four different lions (two shifts of two) in a day. They are there between 11 AM and 7 PM. There are... more

I don't get it, what's to special about it? It's ok, but no different than seeing them in a zoo. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it, but if I was in the casino, or close to the strip doors, I would pass by to see if they are out of their cave. more

MGM Grand - this is the sole reason that I've had chosen to stay at MGM. I'm a big cat lover and this time there was two little 2 weeks old lion cub inside the habitat glass enclosure with their own caretakers. I visited them daily and I couldn't have ever imagine that I can see them so close through... more

There is a glass tunnel like they have in aquariums an the lions seem to like sleeping on it. You can stand underneath a lion and look it in the eye, which is different. You can see the size of their paws, which are bigger than you think close up. I have seen lions in zoos and safari parks, but... more

We visited the lion habitat at MGM Grand since it was closeby (we were staying at the Signature). It was okay, nothing spectacular. If you've seen lions at a zoo, this is not that different. We watched the lions walk and climb - maybe it's more fun when they're playing, I don't know. It's worth a visit if you happen... more

People have complained about the habitat itself and the fact that the lions are not that interesting. I have seen lions plenty of times, but still enjoyed these ones. Sure they sleep a lot, but that's what lions do. The real bonus of these lions is the transparent tunnel under their enclosure. It is like the shark tunnels at some... more

Was amazed to see the keepers in the enclosure with the Lions and being hugged by the trainer. They were playing with large cotton reel type toys and chewing on a oversized dog bone. Worth a look, we watched them for over 30 minutes. A welcome break from walking through the hotel casinos over and over more

We knew about the Lions enclosure at MGM was free and the Lions are treated humanely (they live off site, not in the cage and rotate the tigers for each day etc.), but when we went on a Friday with our friends a sign was posted that they were closed for maintenance - very disappointed. Whilst elsewhere in Vegas on... more

If you're in MGM stop by and take a look. The lions may be sleeping, or active and running around. In the latter case it can be quite interesting to watch them play. It's completely free so a great value. Of course they have a shop nearby filled with lion souvenirs, should you be so inclined. more
