This is really well done with flames and jets of water and you really feel the heat but we found watching from street opposite was much better than leaning over the railings close up.

A spectacular show for free! We were staying at the Venetian and we managed to see it across the Gran Canal bridge (you don't have to be a resident to be there and it's less crowdy) as well as from the Mirage walkway!

We did enjoy the "eruption" show with lighting and water creating the lava effect with fire. We could feel the ground shake from a block away and the heat from the flames was not intense.

You can also see it from the Outback restaurant across the street if you can get a window table, not easy but we managed to do that twice. Talk with Pamela on the door and make a reservation. You need to see it from outside being right by as well, but it is also real cool watching it from the... More

Better than expected! We watched at 9pm when it was dark and enjoyed the show and the music - fun! We arrived about 8.55pm and it was easy to find a place to watch from the pavement!

Yes...another free thing to do in Vegas. Runs nightly every half hour from 8pm to midnight and lasts about 5 mintues. We were lucky enough to have a room at Mirage that overlooked the volcano so got to enjoy it from many different view points. We did enjoy it twice at ground level from two different points. Amazing display and... More

Most of the trip we just missed the full show. We finally asked when it happened and caught the entire thing. Its very cool to see it erupt right on the strip with fire and water very close, but it does not miss a beat or burn the plants. Very nice.

We ran into this on our way back to our hotel after walking the Strip at night. It was pretty cool to see, and we were on the opposite side of the street! It was pretty crowded right in front of the Mirage, so If you are OK watching from a distance, go by the Venetian to get a pretty... More

This is a 'must do' night-time attraction in Vegas, especially as it's free. The 'volcano' erupts for around 6 minutes so won't take up too much of your time, although you will need to get there 15 minutes ahead of time (runs half hourly from 8pm) to get a good viewpoint. It's an impressive visual show with the volcano eruption... More
