The wife and I were staying at the Mirage so we decided to watch the Volcano show. I wasn't expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised. When the volcano fired up you could feel the heat. Very impressive.

This sort of free street show outside Mirage is what Vegas is about. Only lasts a few minutes but it's worth it. Best view is across the street as the display is big and goes high. Free!

If you stay is just for 1 or 2 days, then Bellagio fountain, Red Rock canyon, Fremont street, and Mirage volcano should be in your hit list. Of course, see this volcano at night for spectacular show.

Nothing beats the Bellagio fountain for the best free night show in Vegas for me. But this sound, light and heat show isn't bad either. Look for the bubbling effect at the top of the mount at the beginning of the show. This then spreads to the sides of the volcano, and finally engulfs all of the show area. Spouting... More

After 7:00 it goes off i think every 30 minutes. It has music, pyrotechnics and water going off. It was very amusing to watch and gave you a little warm up if you are chilly in the evening.

This man made volcano is spectacular, it starts every night at seven pm and erupts every half hour onwards until eleven pm, and it's free.

The volcano is a short and sweet show. It comes on every half hour at night but get there early so you can get a good spot to watch. It starts out with what sounds like extremely upset crickets and then turns into tribal type music. Fire, fog and water shoot out of the volcano and fire pops up in... More
