Owner description: Vegas Indoor Skydiving, formerly known as Flyaway, operates America’s first indoor skydiving facility built in 1982. At Vegas Indoor Skydiving guests will earn their wings and experience bodyflight during a simulated skydive experience in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The experience is similar to skydiving with the addition of a mesh trampoline floor and foam padded walls. Guests are able to simulate the freefall aspect of skydiving without the use of an airplane or parachute. Our mission is to provide a safe and memorable indoor skydiving experience to the general public, understanding that everyone will learn and grow at different rates, adapting to the ability of the flyer, and to encourage their development by sharing our love and knowledge of flight. We use a vertical wind tunnel to introduce guests to the sport of indoor skydiving. The tunnel produces enough wind to support the weight of an average adult. At Vegas Indoor Skydiving, each flyer will attend a brief training class, suit up in all the necessary flight gear, then jump in the tunnel and fly. The entire experience will take about an hour. The wind tunnel itself is about 22 feet high from the trampoline floor to the top net. The whole tunnel is 12 feet across. The fan is a DC3 propeller that is powered by a 1200 hp electric motor.

My wife had been wanting to do this since a couple of times we have been to Las Vegas. You are basically flying over an engine turbine, quite loud and looked like fun. This is as close as you can get to sky diving without jumping out of a plane. I did not do it, my wife went through the... More

I've been and will always be too scared to do real skydiving and this place is the closest thing to reality! It is super fun and exciting for all ages. I little pricey but definitely worth it

We went indoor skydiving while staying in Vegas in Nov 2014. It was really easy to get to from the Strip using the buses that run up and down Las Vegas Boulevard. We didn't make a booking as it wasn't a very busy time in Vegas, so we just walked in and only had to wait like 10-15min before being... More

None of us have any skydiving experience, but defiantly did matter. They got us in quickly and gave all the info we needed. Tony was a top notch instructor. The flight itself was short, but quite an experience. We have 2 young daughters and they felt safe the entire time. Highly recommend it.

Jordan and I enjoyed ourselves so much. It was just us in our group, and so the instructor granted us a bit more time. It was so fun. Great experience!

This was something I had seen on TV and had wanted to try. I walked in and got registered for a session. 3 kids were taking a flight, so I watched them from the observation area. The instructor was very good with the kids. They had a gas. I was warned about shoulder injuries being a problem. 3 Instructors went... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. These guys do everything possible to make this a great and safe experience. Safety is paramount to these guys so don't let the noise bug you - it's not as bad as some say (I've worked next to jet airplanes and it's not even close to that!) Levi the "Air Surfer" was an excellent instructor... More

This is probably the most fun that I've had in years. My BFF treated me to the experience for my 48th birthday. Dave, the instructor was friendly, amazing and very professional. The safety training provided prior to indoor skydiving put us at ease which enabled us to have a blast once inside the tunnel. I am so glad that I've... More

Super fun. Our instructor Chris was very professional and made this a great experience for everybody. This 57 year old lady can't wait to go back next time we're in town.
