Owner description: Vegas Indoor Skydiving, formerly known as Flyaway, operates America’s first indoor skydiving facility built in 1982. At Vegas Indoor Skydiving guests will earn their wings and experience bodyflight during a simulated skydive experience in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The experience is similar to skydiving with the addition of a mesh trampoline floor and foam padded walls. Guests are able to simulate the freefall aspect of skydiving without the use of an airplane or parachute. Our mission is to provide a safe and memorable indoor skydiving experience to the general public, understanding that everyone will learn and grow at different rates, adapting to the ability of the flyer, and to encourage their development by sharing our love and knowledge of flight. We use a vertical wind tunnel to introduce guests to the sport of indoor skydiving. The tunnel produces enough wind to support the weight of an average adult. At Vegas Indoor Skydiving, each flyer will attend a brief training class, suit up in all the necessary flight gear, then jump in the tunnel and fly. The entire experience will take about an hour. The wind tunnel itself is about 22 feet high from the trampoline floor to the top net. The whole tunnel is 12 feet across. The fan is a DC3 propeller that is powered by a 1200 hp electric motor.

Recent family visit from overseas with 4 vouchers purchased months before and a call to ask questions about the attraction. Was told to "just turn up" which we did only to be told they were booked out. Not only were we upset but the service was blunt and rude. Only when we ask about the vouchers we were told they... Can't express the professionalism and FUN value of this opportunity to experience skydiving indoors at a much less intimidating distance to the ground. All five kids asked to do it again immediately upon exiting. As a parent it was fun to watch from the viewing chamber and see them master the skills that they had learned in the short demonstration.... More

So fun! Tony, our dive guy, was engaging. I was slightly nervous because I was a bit hungover and was concerned it would upset my stomach. On the contrary, the dive made me feel wonderful. Tony spun around to my delight. It's worth 75 to experience something you've never done before. If you are on the fence, go for it!!

This was one of the best times I've ever had and I'm 51 years young! The price was a small fee compare to the amazing feeling of flying. OMGosh!! So much fun!! The instructor was a really fun guy and he made us all very comfortable. we'll be back in a year for the International Builders Show and I'm already... More

We did this on a whim and because we had a special price. It was SOOOO much fun. Our group had people from 10 to 60 and everyone had a blast! Takes about an hour and worth it all. You do need to be in pretty good shape. Go for it! Levi our instructor was fun and always made us... More

Amazing!! Great to do with fun friends! Dave, our instructor was fun, engaging, and willing to match the energy level of our group. If you've been to Vegas in the past, go back and make time for this! (Girls, please be aware that you will be weighed upon arrival....guys are weighed, too, but they don't care about that as much!)

The instructor, Dave, was very welcoming. You are given good instruction and prep. If travelling alone, bring a GoPro camera, or similar, with a suction cup mount and you can use the window by the entrance door to the wind room as a vantage point for your own video.

Thanks Dave for an awesome sky dive today. You were very professional but you made it really fun. We thought it was very much worth the $75 we paid. Best thing we've done in Vegas so far. It's right on the SDX bus line, get off at channel 8 drive. Highly recommended.

My parents took me here as a surprise on my 40th birthday. We got the package that included 15 minutes of flying time for the group. Our instructor, Tony, was awesome!! Instructions were clear & easy to understand, which meant it was all just fun & games once the flying started!! We had so much fun we bought the video... More

When the kids have special birthdays, we always do something unique. Today (1/14/15), is my older daughter's 40th birthday. We picked her up at the appointed hour, didn't tell her where she was going, and hopped in the car. We went to Las Vegas Indoor Skydiving. We had the first appointment of the day. We arrived, checked in, and took... More
