I love Tahoe. I love Fallen leaf lake. But Angora..? I dont like it. Its beautiful, but theres something really wrong with it. I dont know if its something in the water or what, but its like you just stepped into another country..or the twilight zone. It scares me. I will never go back. more

A great place to start is at the desolation trailhead at Fallen Leaf lake. It is a relatively easy hike through some beautiful terrain to the first of the lakes. Angora Lakes is a beautiful place to go and see. It is meant for the whole family. It isnt that hard of a hike, but it is worth it! When you get there you can swim, relax, and you can go into the general store and look around and maybe even treat you to a special something to eat. Oh... more
