This is a National Forest Service Park. Great sandy beach lakefront Tahoe swimming for the brave only very cold water. Large covered picnic areas. Unfortunately the NFS closed the park at end of September. The weather is good in October so you can still get to the park and beach but you must walk from street parking. Great bike trails... More

This location is as perfect as it gets! I especially like the light colored sand and the tall pine trees right on the beach, it is an unusual combination that is extra spectacular during the sunset hour. Beach also provides a good number of picnic tables, and one large covered pavilion that can be rented for special events, such as... More

10 years of visiting Tahoe in the winter but first time in the summer! This was our first beach visit. It has everything - space, picnic tables, barbecues, restrooms, snack bar, seating and car parking ($8 all day). Activities include kayaking, pedal boats and hiking. I even saw parasailing! Very clean and peaceful with beautiful views and clear water. Tranquil.... More

The regular beach does not allow dogs, but if you pay the 8 dollar fee and park on the left side facing the water, you will find the trail with the puppy paws on it. We took our dog on a leash down and picked out a great spot and then took a shortcut through a closer entrance to the... More

As soon as you have left the Lincoln Hwy and walked 1/4 mile down the path towards Nevada Beach, the hustle and bustle of the casinos and the hwy is gone. This is a quiet area with flowers, ponds, trees just a mile's way from the chaos. Spend more time there on the paths, go for walks and leave the... More

To see this area is really something to behold. What a beautiful area. From a distance the lake is just so blue it is unreal. Close up it can unusual because it has a nice beach, than it has boulders in areas. And the lake is still blue, but you can see thru it. Really something. A great place for... More

What a beautiful place. The water is pristine, the sand, beach, and picnic areas are very well maintained. To sit on this beach and admire your surroundings is just absolutely spectacular. I've been all around the world and Lake Tahoe, and specifically this place will forever be cemented in my memory. The beach has ample parking for what I was... More

We were at Tahoe in mid-June, staying in walking distance of this beautiful Forest Service beach. It's accessible by road or an easy walk down the bike trail from Elk Point or from the most-northerly casino on Hwy 50. Since we were staying within walking distance, we didn't have to pay the fee for parking (we were towing a small... More
