Lots o' sand!!...a real beach!! :) Met a lot of really good people just trying to 'get away from it all'. Talked to some of the rangers there and they were really friendly. My new bride and I rode bikes around the camp grounds and asked questions of some of the other tourists. Very 'mellow' place and really enjoyed our... More

The white sand beach is very clean, sparkling clear water.. Stunning views of the lake and Sierra. There are a lot of picnic tables, some in the shade. There is also a covered area of tables that can be reserved for large groups. Very clean/new restroom facilities. Handicap accessibility is very good with a boardwalk from parking area to beach.... Enjoy the lake view while sunbathing or just family fun. Nice sandy beach. It costs $7 to park for the day. Walk-in is free. A nice place to visit while visiting Lake Tahoe.

There are two ways to enjoy Nevada Beach, camping and day-use. You can either make reservations to camp there, or pay for a single-day use permit. For the single day visitor that enjoys an easy, picturesque walk/hike, park in the lot off of Kahle Drive and Lake Tahoe Blvd (it's free). The walk is flat (no hills), runs along Burke... More

Nothing like Zephyr Cove... it's very expansive in size. If you have a family, this is the beach.

We've been to South Lake Tahoe numerous times and just discovered Nevada Beach. It is located in a National Forest campground. The beach is one of the most beautiful on the South Shore. We had noticed people walking from a parking area just off of Highway 50 and Kahle Dr. through the surrounding meadows. Just a couple minutes from the... More

Located in Zyphyr Cove, NV, this is one beautiful beach and campground....a wonderful surprise. There are endless areas for sunbathing, beach volleyball, etc. Plenty of picnic tables in the sun or under a ponderosa pine tree. The bathroom facilities have flush toilets and are modern & clean. A nearby campground appears to have plenty of sites, nestled in the trees... More

200 yards from my campsite to Lake Tahoe. Only disappointment was a fee to DRIVE my vehicle down to the beach day use area. So I walked down at night and enjoyed the spectacular view over the lake and the bright lights of South Tahoe, just a five minute drive away.
