Fun Summer or Winter

The lakeviews are spectacular, whether the shoreline is snow covered or under summer sunshine. It's a treat to pull off the road and just enjoy watching the lake.

There is a very solid reason why they call Lake Tahoe the sports capitol of America. Water ski, jet ski, mountain biking, and I can't wait until the funds come in to finish the proposed biking trail from Incline to Sand Harbor Beach.

Beautiful views and there are numerous scenic points on Mt.rose Hwy and on the State routes that run along the lake (89, 50 and 28). More beautiful during winter and guaranteed picturesque photographs for your album!!

Hiked around this lake with two dogs both on leash ;) ok so one of my dogs was dragging his leash headed towards the water when all of a sudden I saw him sinking quickly into this mush! I ran to pull him out loosing both my shoes in the process... Hiker beware, what looks like solid ground quickly turns... More

It is beautiful and serene here. Though, I was here in the shoulder season. I have heard it's not do serene in the summer. Beautiful views. When I saw it I was happy the state has protected the land from "development" and for the people to enjoy.

We stayed at South Lake Tahoe in mid October and experienced wonderful weather which showcased the beauty and scenery of this spectacular AlpinevLake surrounded by Mountains of 9,000 feet. Autumn/ Fall colours are wonderful. There are a variety of activities notwithstanding that he Heavenly Gondola is closed. The lake has brilliant blue waters. It s hard to describe the beauty... Visited the Spooner Lake portion of Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. Easy accessible trails to moderate trails. Popular fishing hole. There is a 2 mile hike around the lake, but the lake itself is about 400 yards from the parking lot along an easy trail.
