Loved it! I've been by Sand Harbor a couple times and finally stopped to check it out. By myself for a brief visit I had to skirt the $8/car admission fee. On the day I was there, there was a lot of chop and Swimmer's Cove with it's horseshoe shape was bouncing like I was in a wave pool. I... more

I decided to try and scuba dive in sand harbor as it seems to be a popular spot among some divers. The lake, as always, was beautiful. The diving there is another story. There is little to be seen and Sand Harbor is true to its name. I never thought that I could be bored while diving and saw nothing... more

Sand harbor is one of the most beautiful spots at Lake Tahoe. With it's turquise water and incredibly white sand it looks more like the carribean than a high elevation sierra lake! more
