As an area resident, I can access this awesome trail within just a few miles of my Henderson residence. Therefore, I have ridden every aspect of the trail many times in both directions for shorter and longer rides. From my door round trip is 42 miles, but for the road bikers who don’t think much of this distance--just consider that... More

Long 20 mile +bike ride on well-paved trail with stunning views. Worth the challenge for bikers visiting Vegas. Can also do parts of the trial as plenty of options to loop off the trail to stop and eat at Lake las Vegas, Railroad Casino and Boulder City.

I ride this trail going back and forth to work. It can be very challenging in places but it provides a bike rider with plenty of difficulty and, at the right time of year, fun. It has a clear view of Lake Mead for a large portion of it.

We brought our bikes with us to Vegas in February, planning to ride around Red Rock, but decided to take this trail instead. We typically ride our road bikes 25-35 miles at a time, so this 34 miles sounded fine. Starting in Henderson (at Equestrian and Foothills), we rode clockwise to Lake Las Vegas, Lake Mead, Boulder City, and back... More

On our visit to Las Vegas, we stopped at a bike shop and asked about biking trails. So happy they told us about this one. We drove to Lake Mead National Recreation Area and went to the visitor center first. They had a map of the bike trail, which is paved and only for non-motorized traffic. First we rode the... More

This paved trail multi-use trail whips 36 miles around east Henderson and by Lake Mead. Though mostly used by cyclists, walking and hiking is also common. There are parking areas along the trail and using one of them is a good way to park outside of the Lake Mead NRA and travel in. Locals have their favorite parts of the... More

This trail is very long and very hilly. As an older biker, I find it very difficult. But the section from Boulder City to Lake Mead isn't too bad, even if coming back up is a killer.

If you like to ride bikes, then you simply cannot miss this amazing ride. An utterly magnificent 31-mile paved bike loop on the outskirts of Las Vegas, about a 20 minute easy drive from the Strip. You can rent a car and park in the parking lot of the River Mountains Bike Shop. The manager is Darryn Padfield, an extremely... More

This is a newly surfaced bike only road that loops around the mountain. It is a beautiful ride - if you like desert landscape. Its not for beginners but you can go part way and turn around. The full loop is 40 miles of some steep climbs. Fun, but real exercise.
