I applaud the huge vision of the developers of this property. The scale of their undertaking, however, was just too Herculean, I guess. And their timing was deadly - right in the teeth of the worst recession in memory. It never quite realized its potential. Very sad to see. But it will take incredible determination - not to mention cash... More

Could this be a 21st century ghost-town-in-the-making? That was the theme of our recent visit. A monument to ill-timed opportunism, the history of the Lake Las Vegas “Resort” is interesting to piece together. Folks trying to make a killing in real estate “development” get killed themselves when “The Great Recession” “hits them at the wrong time.” This results in a... More

Never go to Lake Las Vegas resort , was basically asked to leave because me and the family brought in water tot he 4th of July Event , the head security wearing a CIB was very aggressive and verbal and identified himself as a former 7th group member but wouldn't identify himself and acted like a stolen valor , even... I love the atmosphere, the scenery and the live music on the weekends. There are several varieties of restaurants to chose from. There are no shops or gambling there but there are boat rides available and it is a nice break from the strip.

90 % of the businesses were closed. I felt so bad for the business owners trying to still hang on. It's a mad made fake lake and that's exactly how it feels.. manufactured. Don't waste your time. Hopefully they can get it worked out because it obviously cost a freaking fortune to fill and develop. Big disappointment and we took... More

Stayed at the Aston for the weekend of quiet and relaxation. Is very adequate for that. No food service, but there are restaurants, the Hilton and Westin for than. Is lovely and dog friendly and close enough to the strip or other to enjoy, but the lake is lovely and peaceful.

Very peaceful & beautiful. Loved the peace away from the Vegas strip. Only about 12 miles from the strip.

If you like to gamble its not for you as its a little out of the way with little night activity. There is a beautiful pool and golf course. Very pretty. The rooms are large and luxurious.

Both restaurants at the hotels offered a nice variety of selection and price. The service and quality waas top notch. The head chef is doing a fine job reestablishing the hotel as a top destination to relax and enjoy!
