Varying course - nicely on way to Sierra Nevadas

I picked the course based on GolfNow and it being on the way to Lake Tahoe. Not a bad choice! Partly between houses, often water in some form by the fairway or green. Outbound it was fairly flat and one of the Par 3:s was almost completely under repair (or should have been as it was much dirt). Inbound there... More

This is a really nice course. Very flat, but many of the holes are surrounded by protected marshlands. Interesting, but easy to lose balls. The course is in a housing development, and the owners are members of the golf course. So they don't have to have tee times. They just start whenever they want, which makes it very confusing when... They need rangers here. Today was a thursday, tee time 10:50 but we started 10inutes early. Back 9 took 3 hours. Does not matter, Friday ssturday, thursday, you are looking at a 5 hour round. Nice course but they need to keep people moving.

The course does not have much elevation change and the 'character' of the course is generated by water hazards. The staff is very friendly, including the clubhouse staff. We played in hot humid weather so it was not the best test of the course for us.

This is a great little course, fairly wide open and with 3 different 9 holes. Sometimes the rough is a little think but is usually green and fairly quick round. When the run a significant price special it can be packed otherwise usually a 4 hour round.

My personal favorite golf course in Carson City, and the surrounding area. Reasonably priced, excellent customer service and a really nice course, all around.

I am used to golf courses in the Southeast and they are vastly different. This course had very little in common with the usual courses I play. It was interesting but I am not a fan of the large amount of natural sand & bushes here. It's just what you get used to I guess. There were not many golfers... More

The greens were very difficult. The first 9 holes (Red coruse) had recently punched grees and cups that had not been re-cut for seveal days. There were areas where there were mud holes that you might expect right after a heavy rai. It hasn't rained much up here for a long stretch. The greens had dry brown spots everywhere. Rough... More

Our initial impression was just another course trying to squeeze on as many people without regard to the overall experience. While the weather itself offered it's own challenges the course itself was interesting and the greens were in great shape. This is a 27 hole course so the pace of play was very nice. Some waiting but overall the flow... More
