We visited this ghost town, after reading about it, in September 2004 .. Gold was discovered here in 1889.. As I recall, 3000 people lived here by 1897. Delamar had the distinction, that the gold was found in quartzite, mining and working the ore resulted in dust in the mines and mills. The particles of glass like rock were hazardous... More
