Great history site for those who enjoy the old west

This is a very large multi building site that goes back to Buffalo Bill and his Wild West shows. Interesting to see and learn about some history.

My family and I enjoy coming here with our friends and family that come to visit. It's beautiful and the tour is fun and informative. The Tour not only covers the home of Buffalo Bill Cody but also the Barn and land. Now during Christmas they Really "Deck the Halls" and put on Christmas with the Codys. This is a... More

Motel. Arriving in the city of North Platte, my wife and I just picked the first modest motel that came into sight. When signing in at Western Motel I sensed a certain behaviour in the proprietor's manners, that left the impression that this motel was used a lot by adulteres for having an affair on the side. Especially because we... More

This is a very interesting place to visit for adults and kids-- the kids will enjoy the grounds, and especially the barn. Start your visit at the house-- they'll charge you $5 for a state park daily pass (goofy idea that needs to go away) and a minor fee for entrance; I think we paid $9 total for 2 adults.... More

This place looks like you could spend a lot of time here, the original ranch of Buffalo Bill, I'm from Colorado and he is buried in Golden Colorado, been there too. Unfortunately, they were closed when we got there on a Sunday, but we were still able so walk the grounds see his home and the huge barn he had... More

Got there on a Sunday. Of course the place was closed, so we couldn't go inside any of the buildings. The grounds were absolutely beautiful.

A self-guided tour of William F. Cody's (Buffalo Bill) retirement home, barns, and grounds provides an insight into the man's life in his later years.

This is one of the top ten things to do in North Platte. Although, Buffalo Bill was not born here, he did have a lot of input into the design of the ranch and had planned on retiring here. The cost to enter was only $2 each but you also had to buy a parking pass that was apparently good... More

If you are a fan of the old west then this is well worth a visit, lots of memorabillia of the west and also alot of things that we discovered about the man himself, that he was a rider for the pony express when he was only 14 years old, and that as well as his world famous traveling show... More
