The state does a fair job of maintaining the historic house and grounds. They only take cash, and they are very limited in handicapped accessibility, which is partially understandable in a historic structure but they could do more. The volunteers are very nice and helpful and it is worth a stop.

Lovely large home for that era that you can completely tour, with many personal artifacts, and items from the Wild West Shows on display. Very informative film in the barn along with a gallery of pictures from Buffalo Bill's life and times. Sometimes there are artisans displaying crafts in the barn. There is also an old log cabin on the... More

If you're passing through it's worth a look. The home was closed when I visited on a road trip in the winter but regardless I think it was well worth going.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say but I live in North Platte and have only been inside Buffalo Bill's house twice--once as a little girl for Girl Scouts and only once as an adult. It is well worth the visit even without the historical significance. It is a really beautiful house and the grounds are so peaceful to walk around.... More

The Buffalo Bill home is very interesting and filled with Cody family memorabilia and pictures. Be sure to watch the film in the barn for more insight into the man and his Wild West Show. Several other small buildings are on the grounds as well as a couple of real buffalo in a pen behind the barn.

It was closed on a Saturday? We did get to see the outside of the house - would have liked to see the inside. The parking lot was roped off so we parked on private property across the street and walked around. Was rather interesting but again we did not get inside - If they want tourists to go there... More

And it is attended by folks from all over the world. Our tour guide tells us we cant go to buffalo bill codys ranch because they already closed it for the year.! How stupid... More

With a low cost of a $5 daily park pass and a $2 senior admission each, this was a nice break as we drove across Nebraska on a very hot summer day. The house tour is self guided and we had difficulty finding some of the items mentioned in the pamphlet which might need to be updated. The three women... More
