This place just blew my mind. So much to see and enjoy, and if you get the tour from the right docent the experience is even better. I expected a few cars and some information, but got hundreds of cars, with great information and in a immaculate setting!!!

Even if you are not into cars this is the place to see. Rare cars, toys, antiques, amazing through out. We were at a special event, so you may want to get more information on hours of operation, as I am sure they are not open every day.

You are correct, we do have limited hours over the winter. We are using this time to improve the museum. In 2015 we will be opening a new area with new displays. In the mean time we do open up on Fridays for guided tours starting promptly at 2:00 PM. It is always a good idea to be here around... More

You don't have to be a racing enthusiasts to love this museum. Some incredible cars on display along with over 300 engines! And I really liked how they have it laid out and make the different displays look like you are Indy in the Gasoline Alley garages or up against the wall at Daytona.

I spent a very enjoyable and WAAAAY to short of a visit (if you can call a 3 hour walking tour short!) to the Museum of American Speed, compiled by "Speedy" Bill Smith. I was totally not prepared for the breadth of the collection and could have spent twice the time (if my bum knee would have been better!). I... More

135,000 square feet on three levels. Toy, push, pedal and motorized. Automobile related lunch boxes, record albums, hood ornaments and more. The story of the last hundred plus years of this county is so intertwined with automobile history. I certainly have little knowledge of racing but the collection and the history on display is definitely impressive. The attention to details... More

Lot's of history and stories behind all that is on display. Do plan on spending a lot of time looking. Take advantage of the tour guides and their knowledge....and don't be shy....ask questions! We've been here multiple times and always discover something we haven't seen before.

They opened the museum up specifically for our caravan of Corvettes and the staff were wonderful, knowledgeable, pleasant, and helpful. This place is so big and has so many different parts to it that everyone in the family should find something that they liked. My favourite part was the storyline (as you walked along) of Henry Ford and his business... More

Not knowing what to expect, I was greatly surprised at how much there was to see. I plan to go back sometime next year and spend a little more time focusing on some of the displays that really peaked my interest. The tour guide was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the exhibits and the couple that spent several decades... More
