This is a one-of-a-kind motor sports museum for Nebraska. The only drawback is that when we visited the adjoining business, the museum was not available for viewing. Better advertising could help this out, because it's a hidden treasure.

747MusicMaker, Thanks for taking the time to review your experience. We understand your criticism concerning our hours. We do appreciate that you are a customer at Speedway Motors and were not able to tour the museum on the day your here. During the winter the number of people that wish to tour diminishes greatly and it is not feasible for... More

Honestly one of the best times I've ever had! I can't wait to go back, the staff was very knowledgeable and so kind! The collection of everything they had left me speechless! They have so many amazing machines and engines! I highly recommend going if you get the chance you won't be disappointed! I'm going back again! Mike D

Roberta, Thanks for the review. We are glad that you enjoyed your visit. We do try very hard to present our artifacts in a way that looks nice but that also tells a story. The Smith family has done an excellent job in collecting for well over 60 years and the public is very fortunate that they have committed in... More

This is by far the hidden gem in the city of Lincoln. Even if you are not a car enthusiast you will enjoy it. 3 floors of things I never thought existed. The pedal cars were the best.

It was great to be able to share the collection with a guest from right here in Lincoln, amongst the many guests that come from all over the country throughout the year. We took our grandson to the museum but we were disappointed. The guide spoke only to the one or two guys in the group who were seriously interested in auto mechanics. Even when our grandson saw a couple of exhibits that interested him, he was quickly pulled back into the group by some gruff words from the guide. After 45... More

Christine, We certainly apologize for your experience at the museum. We try to always make a great impression on our guest no matter their age or interest level in cars. The enthusiasm and concern of the docent at the front desk was so appreciated. I needed a wheelchair that day and he was so helpful. The museum is quite large and the race cars were so varied that even I, who's not a race car enthusiast, was enthralled. They could use at least a snack bar because they are not... More

Thank you for your review. We are glad that the Docent or employee was able to help by providing you with a wheelchair to make your visit more enjoyable. It's always nice to hear that someone that is not a race fan was able to enjoy our museum. As far as the snack bar goes we really don't have the... More

We attended a Christmas party at this location, both my wife and I were very impressed with the old cars, toy petal cars even 600 old tin lunch pales. Has several of the early race cars which ran on the dirt tracks in the 60's

We enjoyed having the group from the Lincoln Airport Authority during their Christmas party. It's always fun for us to host large groups of people that haven't been to the museum before so that we can share our collection. Parties like this help us reach a demographic that do not normally visit. Our goal is to educate people about the... More

An amazing, eclectic collection of car racing history and various other cool stuff, most automotive related. You will not be disappointed, even if you're not an avid fan. You are required to tour the museum with a guide, and the guide may spend an inordinated amount of time describing engine minutiae or other obscure things, but there is a gob... More
