Nice!

Of course I am from Nebraska so I may be biased, but I think we have a beautiful capitol and the gardens around it are lovely.

Where else can you experience a one chamber state capitol? No where in the USA. Take a tour or go on the self-guiding tour to see this beautiful building and learn about this unique state government set-up as a unicameral. Great view of downtown from the capitol steps.

We took a tour with a very well prepared guide that was attending the University. The classical architecture and the planning of this building are wonderful. The story of the settlement of Nebraska is caught up in woodwork, mosaics, and sculpture. This combined with the fact that it houses the only Unicameral State Government in the U.S. is fascinating. Worth a drive around Lincoln to see the capitol buildings, as well as other sites; the university. Near the downtown.

Nebraska State Capitol is beautiful. All the artwork is lovely and it is a must to go to the top floor and view the artwork in the rotunda as well as venture outdoor on the walkway for the view.

Take the tour! If you're an art deco fan you will be blown away. But on the tour you see things you'd otherwise miss. And if you live in Lincoln, OLLI often offers behind the scenes classes in the Capitol where you see even more. I building to fill you with awe.

As many other people have mentioned, this place is like taking a step back in time. If you love history and architecture, you'll love the Nebraska State Capitol. I was in Lincoln for work and couldn't resist exploring this imposing structure. I did a self guided tour and, while I wish I had taken a guided tour, I found myself... More

We've visited 6 or 7 state capital buildings and Nebraska's was hands down the best! Beautiful murals and tiles on the inside, inspiring sculptures and quotes on the outside, and a great view from the tower above. Small gift shop and tours available. On street parking was plentiful and free.
