Whenever I see the Sower on top of the golden dome of our Nebraska State Capitol, it brings a since of great pride and respect for the people that make this place such a wonderful place to live. Good people, strong economy, excellent home values, and no shortage of family oriented activities. The Capitol embodies all of that and more.... More

Great history. Tours are available. Even if you're not interested in government the architecture of this building is historic and beautiful.

Nebraska's state capitol gets lots of attention (and jokes) because of its shape, but it's the details inside this beautiful building that provide a wonderful portrayal of art, architecture and Nebraska's unique Unicameral system. The mosaics are a favorite but the entire building, with its remarkable details and furnishings are a treat that all ages can enjoy.

We arrived in time to be shown around the building. Its history is interesting and we all enjoyed the short but adequate tour which was free.

One of the best state capitol buildings I have ever seen. The interior is spectacular. Your eyes have to look up, around, and down at all times.

An enchanting walk through articulate craftsmanship and art media displays. A dominant government structure that displays and tells the story of Nebraska from Pioneer days through statehood and the heritage years. Visit the past through the eyes of the present into the future

Despite its awful nickname, this is an architectural work of art. It's was constructed as the state could afford to pay - no borrowing to build. You've got to see it.

This is one of the most beautiful state capitols in the U.S. It's a striking building on the outside, but absolutely go inside as well, there are outstanding art Deco influenced mosaics and on the 14th floor rotunda under the dome of the building are fabulous views of Lincoln. And it's all free.
