As a native Nebraskan, this is a place you have to see. Not only does a visit help you to be more knowledgeable about the history and workings of the state, but also of the great architecture that makes up this building inside and out. And be sure to check out the view from the observation deck. When you're driving... More

My wife was a Tour Coordinator at the Iowa State Capital and when ever we go somewhere you can bet she will find the state capital. The Capital if unique in design and going to the top is a must.

This is one of the more modern state capitols and one of the more beautiful in my opinion. Nebraska is the only state with a one-house legislature, and it's interesting to observe how that works. Art work inside this building is worth the trip itself.

The dome is very pretty from the inside and I hear there is a great view from the 14th floor observation deck when the wind... More

Recently moved to Lincoln and took our family to visit the capitol. Couldn't find the entry, with four adults searching as we drove around the square. It was interesting, but could have been much better if there had been volunteers on hand to assist. The exterior is very bland and doesn't do justice to some of the beauty inside. Simply... More

A visit to this historic building is a must. Its free. Just walk in and stroll the main level. Take the elevator up to the top observation deck. Don't forget to stop at the Mezzanine level for great views of the main floor terrazzo. While not hundreds of years old, the building has impressive architecture. You can also view the... More

My father, who has mobility issues was given royal treatment by the staff. This is an amazing building to visit. Just do it!
