I often visit the Sunken Gardens, it soothes the soul. One can stroll the gardens to enjoy the beauty and serenity (tho near busy traffic), or enjoy a peaceful place to enjoy a book.

I have lived in Lincoln for more than 40 years and never get tired going to the Sunken Gardens. The Gardens get better and more beautiful every year. Hats off to all of the volunteers that make this little place of heavy happen. As you walk on the paths in the gardens you see so many varieties of plants, flowers,... More

The Sunken Gardens, with masses of flowering plants and waterfalls, is marvelously landscaped. Magical!

Not very big, but what was there was beyond expectations. Beautiful flowers, waterfalls, Koi pond. Beautifully kept grounds. No name plates to identify plants which was disappointing to me but perhaps purposefully done to allow taking it all in uninterrupted by text boards. Excellent place to just chill out for a while. Sort of an oasis in an area of... More

A Lincoln treasure that is at its best best flower in the fall after a mild summer. Previously the city dump it has been transformed by a recent renovation into a underfunded cool evening experience for garden lovers of all types. Good parking on the north for visitors.

This is a beautiful oasis in the heart of Lincoln. Landscaped beautifully, Koi ponds with water lilies floating on the surface, flowers galore, exotic grasses and bushes, the Sunken Gardens provide a place for quite reflection or a relaxing walk along its paths.

Located right across the street from the children's zoo, this hidden gem is absolutely beautiful. It is only a couple of acres, but it has so much crammed in it. Many flowers, schrubs, statues, walkways, water features and more. Take the time to visit this FREE attraction.

Always beautiful. This year is better than ever with a lot of color and beautiful blooms. This garden is well-laid out and wheelchair accessible. What a great place for a stroll or picnic.
