Strolling through a floral wonderland.

Each year the color schemes and flower/plant varieties change in Lincoln's most-favored area for strolling, outdoor weddings, photo shots, etc., and they're always gorgeous.

Get some lunch and sit in the park to eat and enjoy some sunshine. Beautiful in the summer. Well kept garden with lots of flowers, a stream, koi ponds. Great place to take pictures. Enjoy the rose garden across 27th, too! :)

I went to the Sunken Gardens while visiting Lincoln in mid-March while my husband was in training to kill a few minutes. Although there were only a few shoots springing from the ground during my visit, I can tell this garden is absolutely stunning in the summer when it's in full bloom. The structures are so beautiful: the intritcate dome,... More

Lots of levels to explore, places to sit down, both sunny and shady. Very small, but enjoyable for the whole family.

Beautiful garden to stroll through next to the zoo. Lots of benches to sit, relax and enjoy the view. It was very peaceful when I was there even though it was in the middle of the day.

Just the place to view beautiful flowers, koi ponds, fountain and a waterfall, and it is free! I have been coming here for years, and each year they plant different flowers. What a great place for all ages to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, stroll through the gardens, or just sit and relax! It's just across the street from a beautiful rose... More

I was introduced to the Sunken Gardens of Lincoln, Nebraska by a long time friend shorty after returning to Nebraska after a lengthy absence. Though Lincoln is a mecca of trails, parks and historical locations and was a major player in the founding and development of the US, its railroads, pioneer passages, homesteading, etc., I was suddenly confronted with a... A nice place to stroll and enjoy a beautiful garden at the heart of the city. You barely notice the traffic going by. Nice place for pictures

Sunken Gardens is beautiful. Fresh flowers everywhere. You need to wait until July to go so the flowers are in full bloom.
