A must see in Lincoln. Spectacular color and variety. A refreshing walk through the Gardens can only be described as Paradise. Can't wait to see it in mid summer.

Sunken Gardens is a popular location for outdoor weddings and senior pictures. Even though it is located near a busy intersection, it is serene and calming.

This is one of the prettiest spots in Lincoln. There are flowers from spring through late fall...it is well maintained and colorful. There are some ponds with Lilly pads and fish as well as several garden areas with sculptures. Its a wonderful place for photos and you can often see weddings here in the spring and summer. I think this place would be lovely a little later in the season! Built in the Depression and restored more recently, it just needed some color to be beautiful.

Sunken gardens at 27th and Capital Parkway, as I have been told, was the garbage dump at one point in the history of Lincoln. As long as I have lived in Lincoln it has been a peaceful and sweet place to take a walk through. The community "wakes" the garden every spring with many volunteers spending hours planting the annuals... More

Nice garden like park across the road from the zoo. Nice ponds, pathways and sculptures, but is is quite small and situated next to a main road.

We stumbled upon these gardens quite by accident one day. We were travelling through and discovered the garden and took a several hour delay in our trip to visit and wander through the gardens. Now when we travel to Lincoln, we try to may time for a quiet, tranquil break in our day to stop and visit.

Besides its beautiful flowers, foliage, pond, tiered landscaping, and architectural appointments, it's a TERRIFIC setting for photographing the scenery or people/clients against the backdrop of the beautiful, peaceful setting.
