This zoo is great for families. It's big enough for little kids for an afternoon outting. Lots of great animals there, and treated great. Also have train and pony rides. My kids love to go there often.

Great size for young children and old Grandma's! Very safe feeling...can let the kids roam. Lots of places to sit in the shade and enjoy watching the children interact with the staff showing the animals. Staff is young and knows the animals and explains about them very well. Enjoyed learning about them. Some rare animals that other, big zoos, don't... More

The title of this review is not meant to be disparaging of the Lincoln Zoo at all...just simply the truth. Omaha's Zoo is a mega plex of fun...huge and ranked #1 in the world. Lincoln's zoo is a family oriented nice sized zoo that compliments the capital city of Lincoln. Ages that appreciate it the most are young children and... More

The Lincoln Children's Zoo is one of the best kept small zoos in the US. It is just the right size for young children to stay interested during their visit. Older children enjoy the opportunity to learn about the animals in a smaller setting so as not to be intimidated by the size. It is definitely a zoo to see... More

This zoo is the right size for young ones as I feel they won't get all tuckered out from walking a lot. It is shaded by large trees for those hot summer days, have a little train to ride to start or end your day and food spots for when the munchies hit you. A large assortment of animals to... More

We make it a point to visit children's museums wherever we visit. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. This one has a lot of strengths. First, it's not overwhelmingly huge. It's very manageable. The entry floor is set up like a town with hospital, fire department, police, pizza place, bank, vet clinic, sports field, grocery, and post office. The kids... More

We brought our son here twice, at the ages of 2 and 5. He loved it both times. The pony rides and train cost extra, but the little ones seem to really enjoy them. We are mainly interested in direct interaction with the animals, so feeding the goats, attending the educational shows, and feeding the camels by hand are highlights... More

We went to the zoo with my 2 year old daughter on a very hot summer day. My favorite thing about the zoo is there is plenty of shade! The layout is great and each exhibit flows from one to the next. Also, it is very easy to tell where the different animal exhibits are because the info is painted... More

Visited here with some friends when we noticed we were visiting several days before they closed for the winter. This is a nice small zoo mostly containing small animals. The name Children's zoo says it all. The largest animal, I think, are the camels. Most of the other animals consist of birds, monkeys, and reptiles. They have a lot of... More

It's small but mighty. Can easily spend a couple of hours here. My grandchildren liked it because it had enough animals to hold their interest and because it's small you can get close up. I loved it because you didn't wear out going around it all. The butterfly house is great. The volunteers and students who are there are very... More
