Why does it close so early even in summer?? Don't families like to go in the evenings? I wish we could have seen what was in here.

The zoo occupies a relatively compact site near downtown Lincoln. Our grandchildren enjoy viewing the exhibits, especially the butterfly and bug houses. We always conclude with a train ride around the zoo. Food service is limited and uninspired. We often pack a lunch. We try to arrive at opening time and leave in time for the 2 year old's afternoon... More

I loved the children's zoo when I was a child and it was top of my list for visiting when I came back last July. I love this zoo with all my heart. It is awesome for children and adults!

This is a small zoo but it is well worth the time to check it out. Children of all ages will get a hands on experience here. Kids volunteer their time here to work different educational stations throughout the zoo. They have a variety of animals here to check out.

We have come here more often than I can count and it is the perfect zoo to bring your family and not be worn out for all the walking. Feed the camels, ride the camels, feed the goats. It is time well spent.

This zoo is geared to children. It can also be enjoyed by adults. There are a lot of animals and other things to see. It is really an unknown treasure in Lincoln.

Certainly worth a trip. Just fun to walk around, take the train, good diversity of animals, and they have some conservation work goibg on behind the scene. Check out the giant monarch butterfly caterpillar.

The zoo is exactly what it says: A children's zoo. There were so many interactive exhibits that the 2- and 3-year-old we took both had a blast. The animals were all active and volunteers were at each station, allowing the kids to interact with the animals, hands-on. It was also big enough, with enough exhibits, that we spent four full... The Lincoln children's zoo is small for a zoo, but there were many fun and interesting exhibits. There are not large animals but there are more interactive exhibits.

We visited the Lincoln Children's zoo at the very beginning of the 2014 season. We have a zoo of comparable size close to home, but with far less to offer. We really enjoyed our trip here with our 18-month old daughter. Some things I would like to see taken into consideration are aspects of the train ride. I don't know... More
