I know that many people are enamored with the Omaha Zoo, but this is a charming zoo for children and those that just love animals. A nice variety of animals in very clean enclosures, exhibits are close together and it is well landscaped with shady trees and perennials. If I lived in Lincoln, or if I had raised a family... More

Whether you are young or old.... this is a great attraction in Lincoln. The grounds are so lovely, the animals full of intrigues, education and availability. Compliments to the staff for such a great zoo, experience and educational contribution to our city!

The zoo is the right size for children under 4! There's enough opportunity for the children to experience the exhibits and play within the zoo. Omaha is great with all the exhibits but very large for lil ones to enjoy during the hot summer months! The Lincoln Zoo is just enough for lil ones =)

Took our 2.5 year old and 7 month old here the other day and spent about 90 min walking through the zoo. Our collective attention span wasn't all that long, but we were able to move through the exhibits at a good pace. The 2 year old was able to get close enough to look at animals close up, and... Me and my family decided to go to this zoo because it's closer then Omaha Zoo. My kids are 7, 5, and 3, and they loved it, it was made for younger children. I'd imagine any kids older then 12 wouldn't care nearly as much for it but they did enjoy themselves. We went to Omaha zoo and this compares... More

This was a nice little zoo. Came here on what felt like the hottest day of the year (happened to be the day we were passing through), and it was blessedly shaded. Nice variety of animals, some of which we've not seen, especially in a small zoo. We spent at least 1.5 hours and didn't see everything, so you can... More

Very nice small zoo. We especially liked the Red Pandas. Didn't know they even existed. They look like furry red foxes but have the same lazyness as regular pandas. Worth the time even if you don't have children.

My son loves this zoo, but now that he's getting older he's been wanting to go to Omaha zoo instead. This is a great zoo when you have little ones, but don't be surprised when they get older to want to go to the bigger one. Just not enough stuff to keep the older kids busy and interested.

Loved getting a picture of my grandson on his first pony ride. Also after walking around the zoo the train ride is still a family favorite.
