Great zoo-relatively small by comparison. perfect for younger kids. Easily be in and out in a few hours. Room for the kids to run around, lots of hands on things, like feeding the goats. They offer pony rides. Mostly outdoor zoo. Train ride has run forever that kids love. Check out Hullabaloo at the zoo around Halloween time!!

The zoo in Lincoln is a very nice zoo for younger children. The zoo has a wide range of animals, a very caring staff and very well kept grounds. The train gives you a ride around the entire zoo and is great fun for the little ones, all seem to enjoy the train tunnel. This zoo does not compare the... More

I am so impressed with all the renovations that have happened over the years at the Lincoln Children's Zoo. The Humboldt penguins are very unique. Flamingos are good too. Thought I would miss the seals, Grounds are very well kept. Larry the Cable Guy has been very supportive of the Zoo and think he does done some good things for... More

This is a sanctuary in Lincoln. It's not your high-powered zoo with large exhibits and a zillion acres. It's a medium- to small-sized zoo that is well run, and well landscaped, and seems like a good place for the animals. There is really quite a diversity of animals here, including monkeys, red pandas, horses, camels, wallabys, otters, bats, alligators, turtles,... More

We took our 2.5 year old and it was so much fun for him! The animals are where he can see them and there are so many opportunities to interact with them! It's also great that it is for the most part heavily shaded by mature trees, so the little ones won't get too hot. The train is also a... More

Wonderful CHILDREN'S zoo. Lots of 'hands on' with the animals. Rides on the camels or ponies. Small train also fun, goes around the whole zoo- extra charge. Excellent concessions with great chicken strips, fruit cups and healthy fare. Nice and shady for hot days.

I know that many people are enamored with the Omaha Zoo, but this is a charming zoo for children and those that just love animals. A nice variety of animals in very clean enclosures, exhibits are close together and it is well landscaped with shady trees and perennials. If I lived in Lincoln, or if I had raised a family... More

Whether you are young or old.... this is a great attraction in Lincoln. The grounds are so lovely, the animals full of intrigues, education and availability. Compliments to the staff for such a great zoo, experience and educational contribution to our city!

The zoo is the right size for children under 4! There's enough opportunity for the children to experience the exhibits and play within the zoo. Omaha is great with all the exhibits but very large for lil ones to enjoy during the hot summer months! The Lincoln Zoo is just enough for lil ones =)
