Paved paths and bathrooms available. Not much shade so you'll find folks walking near sunset. Easy to not be able to find which parking lot your car is in. Trails are such that u can do big loops or shorter ones.

There is about 80 acres more or less and has the attractions that almost all ages can enjoy. A beautiful lake stocked twice a year with trout and several piers to fish from besides the shoreline. Swimming is accessible from one part of the lake with a sandy beach. Paddle boats are available for enjoyment, and white swans are swimming... More

I have fished several time at Yanney Park. The park has paddle boats and a tandem bike to rent when the concession stand is open.

It was just perfect at dusk on a hot day. I walked the trail that headed south next to the canal. Plenty of bird activity. Saw 5 swans, too! Great views of the Nebraska sunset.

This is a very clean park with lots to explore! We enjoy walking up the tower, which takes some effort but is worth it in the end to have an amazing view of the park and the city of Kearney...and it's great exercise. My kids also love the splash pad in summer, which is basically an awesome sprinkler/playground and it's... More

Fun for all ages. The water park is great for young children. The lake has great fishing. Paddle boats. Many places to picnic. The hike/bike trail is outstanding. I don't know how any one could visit Yanney Heritage Park and not have an enjoyable time. Something to everyone at every age.

We explored this place after supper while passing through town. It was great. It is not far off I-80 and would be a great stop for a family needing a break from the road. There were 2 splash pools, trails, a small lake with rentals of watercraft, picnic areas and other interpretive areas. It is also dog-friendly including a doggie... More

Approximately 70 family members gathered at this park for our family reunion. We had reserved a large picnic shelter 2 months prior to our date. The park has swan boats & fishing, splash pads, and plenty of grassy areas for kids to run around. The picnic shelter provided needed shade from the sun for the older adults. Indoor restrooms are... This is a fun area to visit and walk. Taking children to the splash pool and on the lake would be a fun day. We like seeing all of the flowers and walking up to the top of the tower. It is quite a climb but the view is very nice once you get to the top. There are also... More
