In addition to a modern Senior Citizens Center which provides a very low-cost lunch each day you'll find a climbing tower (including an elevator) which takes you high enough to have a great panoramic view of a large area of rural Nebraska. There is also a nice small lake stocked with several varieties of fish (including trout in the winter)... More

Yanney Heritage Park is truly a gem. It's so well designed and cared for that even if you're just traveling down Interstate 80 you'll want to take the Kearney exit and visit this fine 80 acre park. You have to see it to believe it. From it's observation tower to it's children's splash ground to it's lake with paddle boats... More

Two very large free splash pads for the kids. Great playgrounds. Walking trail. Large pond with swans. Time it right and you will see them swimming with their little ones. Also have paddle boats shaped like swans to rent. Go up in the tower and you can see for miles. In the summer the Little Theater puts on a free... More

This park was the perfect place to go for a walk after an awesome meal at the Cunningham Journal. A man-made lake and nice gardens with a viewing tower to climb are nice additions.

A very beautiful recreation area. Water park for kids and plenty of area to walk. Also had a concession stand and who could rent a swan to go out into the lake.

Nice pool area for kids and loved the paddle boat rides. There are swans on the lake that follow the paddle boats around. Didn't have any problems with them while we were there. I think if you leave them alone they will leave you alone.

Great spot to get away with your family or to let your dog stretch his legs. Has all the amenities that we needed in a park and the observation tower is a nice touch.

After a long day on the road and an excellent meal at Whiskey Creek, we wanted to find someplace to take the dog for a walk. The desk clerk at the Motel 6 suggested Yanney Park. What a nice place! Glad we checked it out.

This park has all the amenities that a family needs. Restrooms, shelters, fishing lake, paddle boats, splash park, paved trails, ten story viewing tower, etc.. We use the park every week weather permitting. We'll worth checking out.
