Probably the best lake in the state of Nebraska. Sandy shores, its nice and big, very beautiful. If you go to Calamus Outfitters online website you can look at all the different things you can do here. We rented their two smaller cabins and they were very nice. If you want off the beaten trail, Burwell and it's great restaurants and lake accommodations are a steal. Don't miss the sandstone grill.

From late June till mid August, you can usually count on fine, hot, sunny weather--great for lounging and swimming along the beaches of Calamus Reservoir.
