The movie is short and really doesn't contribute much to one's knowledge level. It's not a bad thing to do if you don't have anything else to do, but I definitely wouldn't make a point of going.

They screen 3 documentaries of about 40 mins each. It's not to be missed. The theatre is located in the Yellowstone trading store.

We saw the Yellowstone show and they offer a discount if you see the other shows. The Yellowstone move was informative and beautiful. If you plan to go, look for the discount coupons at your hotel to save a dollar per person. There is a reduced fee for seniors and children. Nice staff.

Good overview of park and something to do on a rainy evening. They only start selling tickets 10 minutes before show time, so do not bother showing up much earlier. 50 cent cones in the lobby seemed to be very popular.

Who wouldn't want to see an IMAX about the most amazing place they've just visited? We saw a movie about the history of Yellowstone and visited the gift shop afterwards which was great. Lots of Huckleberry items and cute moose clothes for kids!

Saw a first release movie (which is a different review) but was hard to watch in spots because the size of the screen made the movie blurry. The gift shop area maybe the largest and most diverse in the area. Staff was friendly and nice. Popcorn and drinks of course...you are at the movies.

A great way to learn about the History of Yellowstone Park, its geography, animals and human experiences. Much like the Grand Canyon Imax, this is very helpful and interesting. shot really well and on such a big screen it really captures just how amazing the park is, even if you have been in Yellowstone or will never go. This is... More

Maybe I had unrealistic expectations, but I thought they were going to tell me the fascinating story of the park and how's and whys of all of the geothermal features. I still can't figure out how they did it. How did they make such an interesting topic sooooo boring?? I was pretty annoyed that I wasted my time and money... More

Totally agree with another reviewer: the Yellowstone movie is an absolute waste of money and time. Our group of 11 was so disappointed. If you want souvenirs, then this place has a bunch of them. If you want a quality experience, go to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center next door. Your ticket is good for 2 days, so you... More

Unless the weather is bad, why would you visit Yellowstone and spend your afternoon in a dark theater? Really?
