Many realities of the beautiful Yellowstone National Park with a great view brought the eyes of the camera. Best to attend during the off-season or early in the morning as crowds minimal.

February 2013, my wife and I visited West Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park with Alpen Guides and Big Sky for some downhill skiing. One of the evenings we planned to watch two of the movies offered by the IMAX. Following several attempts by the operators to show the films we were given passes to allow us to return at a later... We were the only people in the theatre besides our two friends. Some of the scenes are amazing and some of the ones from above make you feel slightly dizzy. I liked the scenery but we all agreed that the movie seems a little old and tired. Didn't really enjoy it as much as I would have expected and especially... More

The film deepened our appreciation of the majesty of the park, especially the winter scenes. This is the only way to see the park with no people in it! Worthwhile if you have time, but getting time for an update. A variety of souvenirs available and tiny fifty cent ice cream cones perfect for a hot day!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the "Yellowstone" movie about the history of the Park. We were the only ones in the theater besides the staff. Didn't block anyone's view, have anyone shush us. Had a great time

If you're in West Yellowstone anyway, the theatre is right next to the Grizzly and Wolf Center, you might want to see the on-going Yellowstone presentation. It give you a good understanding of the park and what you will be seeing in the park.

Be sure to check dates for being open. IMAX closes in mid October. We saw all three shows: Alaska, Bears, and Yellowstone. Nice theatre, fun place to go.

We went to watch the movie "Yellowstone" since we couldn't get into the parks (Government shutdown), and were disappointed that it didn't really show the various features of the park, only told a story about the park. The IMAX was typical, and dumped out into the gift shop. It was okay.
