Everyone here is so nice! Very easy to get along with the whole staff and strike a conversation like they genuinely care you are there. The amenities are wonderful. The man, the dog, and I are having a great day.

The hot springs are nice and can be a great place to meet with friends and family. What's not to like about a hot spring and a cold drink? On the downside, the pools can get a bit crowded at peak hours and a stray pool toy splashing down in front of you breaks the conversation from time to time.

We visited Chico Hot Springs for a day in the water with the kids. This is not a commentary on the hotel or other available facilities (horse stables, spa etc). Overall, the experience was relaxing and fun. Expect a crowded experience with zero urban sophistication of feel... but fun :) Pros: Fascinating history, beautiful 100+ year old (updated) resort, large... More

My fiance and I spent the weekend in Big Sky. During our stay we did some snowmobiling and horseback riding, so needless to say our bones were pretty achy come Sunday afternoon. We took a quick detour to Chico on our way to catch our flight out of Billings. The location is off the beaten path, but worth the 25... More

The water was murky; maybe too many visitors on the day we visited. The dressing room is too small; with only a double shower and benches along the wall. Maybe this is normal for a hot springs; I've never been before. Very cold day; very crowded.

This is a great place to vacation. The rooms are not fancy but adequate, the food is good, the atmosphere is fun and the area is beautiful. Added bonus - close by are their stables where you can take a carriage ride and the Absaroka Dog Sled Treks Company is on the property where you can book a dog sled... More

I stayed at Chico Springs Resort for one night as part of a Yellowstone tour that ended at this lodge. At first impression the resort appears to have a quaint old west flair. That is until you start looking around and see the place for what it is: a glorified motel, not a resort. Where do I start? The water... More

My husband and I stayed at Chico for three days and two nights. The lodging was very nice with a rustic feel. We actually appreciated that the room did not have a television. Only "complaint" about the room itself was that the comforter was clearly outdated and very scratchy (but not a big deal, really). The biggest issue I had... More

The pool was hot and the restaurant was great. There are many geyser springs in the Yellowstone area, but few restaurants that measure up to the one at Chico. The attention to the meal by the chef was extraordinary as our steaks were returned to the kitchen by wait staff to make sure they were cooked as expected. ( They... More

I am not a huge "hot springs fan", but do visit them when the opportunity arises. I found this one to be a bit better than average for the water, but charmingly unique and that makes it special. Of the two man created pools, the hotter one is under cover and has a bar window just next to the pool.... More
