This beautiful carousel, completed in 1995, was the brainchild and vision of a local Missoula cabinet-maker, who carved much of the structure himself and also trained an enthusiastic team of volunteers to assist in the project.

Great fun for the kids. Goes a little fast. Made me a little sick because the carousel is small and goes around rather fast.

As "Seniors" (over 55) we got in for 75c! The best bargain ever. And no, we didn't feel silly riding the beautifully carved and painted horses and dragons. There were other adults riding too. It was very fast and fun, and you needed the seatbelt! Especially when trying to grab the plastic ring from the dragon's mouth as you spun... More

This carousel moves faster than you might expect; not too fast for little ones, but fast enough to make it fun for the adults, too. And I'd recommend not bringing larger bills, like $50 or $100 bills, when paying. The rides don't cost much, and a little place like this can have trouble breaking larger bills. I saw a mom... More

Thank you for your wonderful review! We do have a policy that covers when people bring bills too large to cash, which must not have been followed if the woman was turned away. I will make sure to remind all of our employees of this policy--thank you for letting us know! We also have an ATM and take all credit... More

I love going here. My teenage daughter love to make fun of me. When you ride the horses of the outside you get to win the brass ring that will get you a free ride. When your done with the carousel you can take your kids to the park outside and play more.

Not much else to do on a rainy/snowy day in downtown Missoula, so we gave it a try and even our 12 and 15 year olds enjoyed this! High speed and grab-the-rings made it a fun diversion. And only 75 cents per ride!
