This beautiful carousel, completed in 1995, was the brainchild and vision of a local Missoula cabinet-maker, who carved much of the structure himself and also trained an enthusiastic team of volunteers to assist in the project.

Family Fun

A fun place to spend the afternoon with kids. The ride is FAST so be prepared for that. Dragons Hollow playground and the children's museum are all walking distance.

We loved the carousel. The whole area was clean and the staff friendly. The ride itself went really fast and I wasn't expecting that. It didn't seem to bother my son as he fell asleep!

It's affordable and fun for everyone. It moves surprisingly fast and lasts much longer than one would expect.

We took our 5 year old grandson here last summer and he absolutely loved it. We packed a picnic lunch and ate down by the river and then he must have rode the carousel 20 times! Very fun and unique experience for the little guy.

This is a must visit if you are in Missoula with children. This wonderfully restored carousel will definitely bring smiles to both young and old. There is an adjoining playground which is fantastic as well. Enjoy!

This is a wonderful experience. Very romantic or family oriented. Mind you it goes pretty fast. I have had the opportunity to bar tend for a wedding where they rented the space. It was very nice. Recommend a visit.

Do you remember trying to catch the gold ring and you whirled around on your prancing steed? Well, if you missed out, you can try again at Carousel for Missoula, even though the rings are not gold or even brass (they're plastic). Every horse is hand-carved, many sponsored by local businesses or service organizations. In fact, the local carvers developed... More

Hello! Thank you for your wonderful review of our Carousel. I did want to clarify that while most of our rings are plastic, we do have one brass ring available to grab on every ride, and it usually comes at the end of the ride. The lucky rider who grabs the brass ring wins a free ride! More

This carousel is a piece of art to be enjoyed by adults and children alike. While the children love the ride, the adults can appreciate the quality of work & artistic detail and enjoy a ride too. Staff was friendly & willing to reiterate information about the history of the carousel. If visiting in the winter, hours of operation are... More

A carousel made by the community; you don't see these painted wood pieces any more-it is beautiful. There is also a neat playground and a walking path by the river. A little hard to find if you don't know MIssoula
