Lots of fun activities are staged in Caras Park as it is downtown by the Carousel, easy to access and fun to stroll through. There is a Dragon Hollow play structure for children, festivals held under the tent and many free community events scheduled during summer and good weather at Caras Park. Don't hesitate to visit and have fun.

Great unusual park with huge variety. Nice covered pavillion with frequent venues of different variety. Has "Brennan's Wave" on the river which has surf boarding on the river. Also has a carousel (real one, hand-carved horses) and Dragon Hollow which is a super climbing and exploring area for kids. Parking is very convenient. Also in the downtown area , near... More

My favorite thing to do on Thursday evenings in the summer is attend the Downtown Tonight live music and food events in Caras Park. Always a good time!

Caras Park has been a part of Missoula since I can remember. My wife and I moved here back in 1997 and remember it well for it is a place one can go in spring, summer, and fall, to eat wonderful foods that are made available throughout the warmer seasons as well as entertainment in the form of music etc.... A pleasant surprise to see the carousel running on a snow covered November day. Our grandchildren had a great time (actually rode more than once) riding the carousel. I will say that it is the fastest carousel I've ridden...there is a reason they enforce the belt rule.

Great place for children. Take your kiddies to one of the only wood carved carousels in the world. Fun and cheap.

Rented a bike from the holiday hotel (all proceeds go to charity) and rode the river walk stopping at this park to rest and enjoy the river view. Kids playing near by. Safe, friendly park for all ages. Lots of seating-some people were playing checkers and other hacky sack game. Lots of squirrels to watch running about

great for an event, wander to the Carousel, watch the surfers/kayakers at Brennan's Wave, people watch, walk the river trail, sit on the hill watching the hang gliders jump off Mt. Sentinal...what's there not to like about Caras park? oh ya, occassional homeless people but not bothersome

Caras park was just across the bridge accessible by the walking trail along the river. It was a perfect venue for the wedding we attended there.

Missoula has done an amazing job making Caras park a no brainer stop for families. As a family we loved the playground, carousel, and the walking/bike trail. It also is close to the children museum and many great downtown restaurants.
