Unfotunately it was very smokey the day we rented a boat. We did drive over to Wild Horse Island - about 90 minutes for Big Fork. The island was a nice place for a quick hike and lunch.

Good, but rocky beach access. The park is well maintained, and has a lot of amenities. We were just there for part of the day, so I cannot speak to the camping, but the day use area is quite nice.

Very beautiful area. There's a park, beach dock and floating dock. Great place to take the kids. Didn't see any shells of course but enjoyed the walk.

Beautiful! We didn't get to explore much because we realized we had a flat tire and needed to deal with it. But recommend a lake visit when you're in the area!

We decided to take a break from the smokey drive and swim. Water was cold however once in very refreshing. Not the easiest to access however was a nice break.

We camped one night here at Big Arm State Park, on the west coast of flathead lake. It was amazing. We camped right on the shore. The lake was so beautiful, I've never seen such a clean and clear lake. Totally worth the stop.

People are stating that Flathead Lake isn't as beautiful as Glacier which might be true but that's like saying an apple doesn't taste like an orange. They're different things. We spent hours in one of the state parks (I don't recall which one) sorting through the beach pebbles looking for different and interesting shapes and colors, fishing off the shore,... More

Once you have seen one mountain lake they are all pretty but that is it. Expansive body of water but that was it. Very windy and white caps prevented us from a boat ride etc.

We stayed here and explored everything from Going to the Sun Road to Whitefish. Nice spacious campsites. We were in "Loop B" high up over the lake. The lakeside campsites have better views, but because we were touring the area and only slept there, the hill side worked fine for us. They have no dump station, but Edgewood RV Park,... More
