We travelled from Calgary, Canada for the May 15-18, 2015 long weekend. The scenery along the way was breathtaking. We rented a Yurt, and were amazed at how economical they were. Inside held everything we really needed: 2 rollaway cots and a double futon, a heater, a fan, table and chairs, shelves, and electrical outlets. Outside was a firepit and... More

My visit date is nebulous. It's one of several MT State Parks around Flathead Lake, all completely outfitted for RVs and other overnight "campers." There are boat ramps. I don't know what the rates are, but to visit a park, it cost $3 last time I was there. Maybe more, now, & deservedly. Nothing to dislike. I just did a... More

Nothing not to like. Access to the largest lake west of the Mississippi. Boating, fishing, swimming. Great place to visit and play.

One of my favorite places to meditate and to come to find stillness and peace. Is worth stopping if your in the area.

.This has long been a favorite spot while in Bigfork. It is listed as Flathead State Park but is also known as Wayfarer State Park. Either way it is a great spot. In addition to the trails and hiking it offers a up front and close to Flathead Lake. The usually wide beach offers good lake side activities and easy... More

This was a nice park for our family to go for a walk. We did some hiking, and sat at the lake and dipped our feet. Very clean and well kept park. We will definitely be coming back here on our next family trip. Very nice scenery!

This campground is right on the lake, many sites with easy lake access. At least one heated restroom with shower. The annoying part of State parks is the reservation system. However, after a mix-up, I visited our local Fish, Wildlife, and Parks office, and they promptly corrected the problem. We would camp at this park again.

The best way to experience Flathead Lake? Go in it of course!! There is no better place to take your family for a nice afternoon swim in the summer, or to have a family bbq for dinner. The views are amazing. The water can be quite chilly- even during the scorching summer months- Just bring a blanket or chair, and... More

Flathead lake is a beautiful lake that is very large. We like to go to the park and have a picnic. It is a nice well kept place and a fun place to stop and enjoy the beautiful scenery;

We took a boat tour out on the lake. It was lovely but being from the Lake Tahoe area I have to give the beauty to NV/CA. If in this area, it's worth the visit.
