Description: Our horseback rides are all guided, and go through miles of private...
Our horseback rides are all guided, and go through miles of private timberland on both horse trails and logging roads. Though we do offer shorter lesson rides for the novice rider, our most popular ride, and the one providing the most fabulous scenery in the shortest amount of time, is our morning or afternoon ride. We also offer a half-day horseback ride, which includes a snack; and a full day trail ride, which includes a picnic lunch at a spot overlooking the Flathead Valley. The Western Barbecue Dinner ride is our personal favorite. Enjoy a late afternoon horseback ride to the mountaintop, followed by relaxing around the campfire while we prepare a traditional western barbecue.

Had a great one hour horseback ride with family. All four of us were very inexperienced. However, Alexis our guide was fantastic. First time our son (age 9) and daughter (age 10) were every on a horse. They had no problems. Took a scenic trail to the top of a hill. Kids horses- Rusty and Patches were fantastic! Highly recommend!

My husband and I went on a two hour ride for his birthday. The people at Artemis Acres were so wonderful that they gave us our own 2 hour ride. Our guide, Mindy, was so friendly and amazingly informational when talking about the area and the horse. The most amazing part of the day (beside the ride) was the fact... More

3rd time with Cecil at Artemis Acres. Riders are ensured a safe mount and excellent instructions. 2nd time with my granddaughters now 8 and 5. The views of the Flathead Valley through the forest are spectacular. Water so necessary in the hot weather is provided along with several stops. Deer and wild turkeys galore. The staff is very friendly and... More

We were greeted by Cecil at the door. Horses were calm and easy to ride. Our guides Mindy and Alexis were excellent. Nice two hour ride up into the mountains. Highly recommend. Fun time.

We found out about Artemis Ranch, through Trip Advisor, and booked a four hour ride. We were VERY pleased with the entire experience and would not only recommend this to someone visiting the Flathead Lake Region, but say it is a must activity! Alexis was our guide and she was awesome! She was extremely kind, personal, and knowledgeable about the... More

We did a two hour ride with four adults and four children. It was the best experience we've ever had at a day ranch (versus overnight guest ranch). The horses were awesome--easy to ride, responsive, gentle--and the staff was exceptional. The scenery was amazing. We would go back there again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our ride with Artemis Acres. The horses were well-behaved and our guide, Alicia, was friendly, informative and a good wrangler. Cecil runs an excellent operation. The costs are reasonable and the ride is more than worth it!

I know...you're trying to decide if you should trust TripAdvisor on this one. Lots of things to do around Flathead. You should definitely sign up to do a trail ride with these guys. Very friendly, gorgeous views, wonderful overall experience. We did a 2-hour ride...that was plenty. I would have been too sore to go any longer...I don't ride horses... More
