Though we do offer shorter lesson rides for the novice rider, our most popular ride, and the one providing the most fabulous scenery in the shortest amount of time, is our morning or afternoon ride. We also offer a half-day horseback ride, which includes a snack; and a full day trail ride, which includes a picnic lunch at a spot overlooking the Flathead Valley. The Western Barbecue Dinner ride is our personal favorite. Enjoy a late afternoon horseback ride to the mountaintop, followed by relaxing around the campfire while we prepare a traditional western barbecue. « less

40 plus years to be exact. It was mid October when we were out near Kalispell. I called Cecil to see if they were still operating this late in the season. He said sure and we set up a time for the next afternoon. It turned out to just be Cecil, me and my wife on the trail ride. Cecil... More

Cecil and staff were wonderful hosts. They are very proud of their 'family' of horses, most of which are related and have wonderful temperments. Riders were matched with compatible horses and instructions given. Out on the trail we saw deer and had beautiful views. Following the ride we shared great company around a bonfire and had an excellent homecooked BBQ.

We were there just off-season so our guide was Cecil, the owner. We had a lovely 2+ hour ride with outstanding views, good conversation and plenty of quiet time to enjoy the peaceful scenery! Great weather, too - that area isn't as affected by weather systems that go through the mountains. Highly recommend this spot!

We visited Artemis Acres on our recent trip to Glacier National Park. We were so happy that Artemis would allow our 4 and 6 year olds to ride horseback because the horse company in Glacier National Park would not (they were too young for this other company's age cut off). What I liked about Artemis Acres was that the owner... More

We had an excellent 4 hour ride with our guide Alex (and guide dog Marty). The horses were quiet and calm and the trail had beautiful views. Alex was very reassuring for the guests who had limited experience with horses. Cecil the owner was very gracious on the phone, even as we made last minute reservations the night before our... More

We visited last week with children and adults. We had Such a great time. They were friendly and helpful and ensured that the children ( who had never been on horses before) were happy. They spent so much time with us ....showing us the new foals and explaining everything. Chuck was amazing!!! Thank you

Did not see reviews before we went, but can affirm what others have said. Excellent horses, most were born, bred, and trained on ranch. Sure footed horses on steeper portions of trail, unbelievable views, Alex, our guide pointed out scenic portions, saw two deer and two grouse. Distant views of Glacier National Park and of Kalispell valley, guide dog Marty... More

Our family was on the timid side in terms of comfort with horses. My son was suppressing tears at the start of this ride and they immediately saw it, moved him to the front, and helped him through the initial stress of a new activity. In the end, he was glad he went and so was I. We wore helmets... More

Best afternoon to spend if you like horses, heat and high places!! The guides were knowledgable and helpful, the horses sure-footed and the scenery breath-taking.

On our visit to the GNP area, we wanted to go for a horseback trail ride. Artemis Acres provided all we could have wanted! The horses were good tempered and sure footed - we are novice riders. Our guide, Tyler, was very helpful...the views along the two-hr trek were absolutely gorgeous! We had a terrific time; a great way to... More
