Our horseback rides are all guided, and go through miles of private timberland on both horse trails and logging roads. Though we do offer shorter lesson rides for the novice rider, our most popular ride, and the one providing the most fabulous scenery in the shortest amount of time, is our morning or afternoon ride. We also offer a half-day horseback ride, which includes a snack; and a full day trail ride, which includes a picnic lunch at a spot overlooking the Flathead Valley. The Western Barbecue Dinner ride is our personal favorite. Enjoy a late afternoon horseback ride to the mountaintop, followed by relaxing around the campfire while we prepare a traditional western barbecue.

This is a working ranch with well cared for horses. Cecil, the ranch owner, has done an incredible job with the horse herd here, and Artemis Acres is the only place we'll go ride when visiting this area of Montana. The rides are fantastic and the horses are very well mannered. (This is most likely because they have a really... More

My husband and I did the two-hour ride, and we were glad we did! Our guide, Cecil, did an excellent job of showing us various aspects of nature on our ride, including the way in which mistletoe chokes off fir trees in the area. He also provided us with some historical insights into the area, showing us where old mines... More

Can't rave enough about what a great find this place is! We only wished we had booked ahead so we could have stayed there & experienced it all for a couple of days instead of just an awesome 2-hr. horse back ride. But what a ride, guided by delightful Alexis, whose passion for the horses, the ranch, & land was... More

This was the probably best part of our 10 day vacation. We only took a two hour ride, which turned out to be perfect since neither of us had been on a horse in 30 years. It was fantastic. Our wrangler (Alexis) was fun, entertaining, patient, and a great host. The views were fantastic (I love the Flathead Valley) and... More

My wife, daughter (16) and I went on a very nice trail ride with Alexis. I've been to several similar operations in other states, and this company was the best I've experienced. They had clean, well cared for horses that seemed to enjoy the ride as much as we did. I recommend them without any caveats. Alexis and Cecil (the... More

Cecil was courteous and kind, and the horses well behaved. We took the two hour ride up a mountain to the scenic views of the valleys below.

They were the friendliest, nicest, most knowledgeable horse people. All of the horses were bred and trained at this ranch. I had the best horse I'd ever ridden, responded to my slightest commands. The trail ride was in beautiful country. We climbed to panoramic views of the valleys below. I couldn't give a higher recommendation.

My husband and I took our 10 year old daughter and 8 year old son for an hour ride. It was the perfect amount of time for our family. It was our son's first time. Cecil was amazing as was our guide. They were wonderful! Beautiful scenery and amazing horses. I would highly recommend going on a horse ride with... More

Had a great one hour horseback ride with family. All four of us were very inexperienced. However, Alexis our guide was fantastic. First time our son (age 9) and daughter (age 10) were every on a horse. They had no problems. Took a scenic trail to the top of a hill. Kids horses- Rusty and Patches were fantastic! Highly recommend!

My husband and I went on a two hour ride for his birthday. The people at Artemis Acres were so wonderful that they gave us our own 2 hour ride. Our guide, Mindy, was so friendly and amazingly informational when talking about the area and the horse. The most amazing part of the day (beside the ride) was the fact... More
