This is a must see because it is such a quick and easy stop. The sculpture and artwork (e.g. the stained glass windows) is gorgeous. From here, if you are a history or architecture buff you can continue onto Reeder's Alley and/or to the Historical Society and State Capital which are across the street from each other.

Even though I'm not religious, this cathedral was still very interesting. The stained glass on the inside is very beautiful and well done. As far as Montana goes, this is one of the cooler 'old' buildings around.

Attended mass today in this spectacular cathedral. As I entered, a helper passing out hymnals saw my camara and told me I was welcome to take photos, even during the mass. That was a welcome surprise! It was my second visit to this cathedral that rivals beautiful churches of Europe. The beautiful stained glasd windows recreate scenes from the bible... More

This is one of the most beautiful cathedrals I have visited in the U. S. You don't know what to look at first because you are totally surrounded by intricate details on the ceiling and pillars and the stained glass windows are brilliant and appear to be 3D. The parishioners were very friendly and offered assistance as we took pictures... More

History and beauty are combined in this beautiful cathedral. Many stained glass windows inside and structural details not seen in modern churches. Well worth visiting.

A knowledgeable docent gave interesting details to visitors, but we were late and missed the 1 o'clock and 3 o'clock tours that are given free on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! Cathedral will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 1924, so is not an old cathedral but definitely worth a visit to complete any type of tour to Helena! You can... More

A beautiful cathedral resembling the one in Cologne. Many beautiful stained glass windows. A great place to visit in bad weather.

An enormous surprise! We could not believe our eyes when we came into the Cathedral of St. Helena: a beautiful, gorgeous Gothic Cathedral, in the very heart of Montana, USA! The high domed ceiling, the tall white marble pillars, the beautiful light fixtures, the exquisite wood and bronze works, but, above all, the amazing stained glass windows and the whole... More
